Vintage Cape Fear-CARS 9-18

Once again the Vintage Cape Fear-CARS will be rollin' into Hammerdown on 9-18. Every month the car counts grow and this month is no exception. There is 1-2 more cars added to this event, you won't want to miss this show.
The final show of the season is set for 16 October, it's also the last scheduled race of the season.
If you've thought about coming but haven't yet, you'll want to catch this next race, we are the only vintage racing club in the area that runs on dirt, just like they did in the 1960's. A true North Carolina historical blast from the past.
Message to CFCARS....Roll Call for Friday 9-18
The 1937 Mason's Garage Chevy Coach will be in the house!

Talking Re: Vintage Cape Fear-CARS 9-18

Get the oil pressure problem solved the Z8 will be there. Just tried for an HOUR to get the %((&^(%($$( Oil filter OFF the engine. Idle pressure WAS 60# cold now it is 15# cold. New Mech gages but that is to much of a drop. I am blaming the oil filter for loss of pressure.
Have a few more who want cars, getting tired of racing for no money and wrecking stuff. Told them the GENTLEMAN'S WAY of racing is what we do so all have a good time.

I have said that with OTHER WORDS every time I have tried.
The PROBLEM is that the helper who put on the filter MIGHT not have put oil on the rubber gasket. SO when I made coffee (278 deg) it toasted the gasket to the block and the filter.
Have a Chain wrench with a 48" piece of pipe. See how that does. Could not run the car now for sure the filter is looking like a pretzel!!

Re: Vintage Cape Fear-CARS 9-18

If all else fails, GP, don't let that stop you. If you'll get the car to HDS I'm sure we can get the filter off......might take a hammer and chisel, but I'll help you gett-r-off at the track. Bring your oil ,and change it on-site.
