Re: next year classes

I would also like to see a pure stock class as well ,so far there is about 7 cars from collinsville, an srounding areas that would love to come an run every week. I think that this class needs to be brought back. thay always put on a good show.

Re: next year classes

I would love to see this division make a come back too. I even talked to Gene several times about this. The biggest problem was he didn't have any GUARANTEES that people would be there...and if there isn't enough cars, then it wouldn't be financially feasible to run this division. Then if only a car or two had shown up...there would have been no race..and then whose name not to mention track would have been drug through the mud? He would have run it if enough people had of contacted him and told him they would show...I talked to several that said they wanted to race there...but you know I don't think the first one called him to tell him they would come. You can't put a division out there on empty promises. (Not saying that is what you guys are doing) I don't know what is on his mind as of right now...and I don't pretend to...but I know our discussions on the subject...I do know that when we were discussing this option...he had said that if enough people called him to show interest...he would have put a one night run just to see how it would go and even maybe consider adding it next season...but still no one called...(at least to my knowledge but what do I know, I just talked to him about it...didn't discuss his calls)

Re: next year classes

no one knows on the rules but if they dont open the class at 311 we will make a hand full of trips to friendship, we are not trying to travle 2 hours every week just race it would cost us about 400 to bring three cars a weekend it would be much better a cheaper if 311 open this class up. an the thing about no one showing up , he has broght the track back along ways an i am sure if he was to make a set of good rules where cars from every track around could come an runn when they want too would bring a crap load of cars. it would be a good class ,it is my home track am i would love to runn there some more, 2007 was a joke for our team 7 wins in a row, i dont want that i wanna fight for a win .

Thanks,

Re: next year classes

Im going to say the same thing that I did last year about the latemodle division. Give all the purestock guys the first 5 races to have 10 or more cars or whatever it takes to be able to support them and still make money. After the 5 races if every week they didnt have enough cars then cut the class if they do have enough then run them and if the car count slowly drops then cut them but if they have enough cars all year and 311 wonts to add a class then they should give them a chance. That way it will get everybody off of 311's back about running them or not... But thats up to 311 to make that decision.

Re: next year classes

we need to hear something from gene or david who ever is over the class cause if they do runn this class or anyother class it would be nice for every one to have some rules before christman so every one will have time to get ready not every one can get a car ready in two weeks ..... we need some input from the track

Thanks,
benfield_motorsports
