Looking To Buy A Crate Car Have Some Questions

I have been racing karts for about 10 years and im looking to buy a crate late model and was wondering how much a good used car and engine would cost on average and how much it would cost to keep the car up

I nkow of a real good car the man want 7k for it winning car too as far as a crate motor i would consider new at dealer they are only 5400

5400 for the 604
2900 for the 602

I know of a few good cars around. $6,000-$10,000 range.
A new 604 crate motor. $5,100. I have 3 of them.

As far as weekly expenses. It varies, but around $100-$300 a week for Gas, oil, new tires every other week or three. Just starting out it wouldn't be that bad plus unlike kart racing most crate races pay $100 just to start.

Thanks Guys For All The Info I bought a new kart last year and had 10,000 in everything if I had known the crate cars were so cheap I would have bought one then but all the kart stuff is sold now I think im going to get a crate car thanks again guys

I wish DIS knew that every other track was paying 100.00 to start you run 10th at dis and get 35 bucks. What a joke.
