RURAL RETREAT, VA – Wythe Raceway is hosting a Fourth of July weekend double header this Friday and Saturday night. The two night action packed weekend kicks off Friday night with the first ever Monster Truck Show and ATV Quad Wars presented by Bob Huff Ford and Huff Chevrolet. Gravedigger, Virginia Giant, Thrasher, Raminator, Samson and Ramination will be racing and competing in a special freestyle show. Local ATV riders will also be competing in utility, sport and open classes on a newly designed race course on Wythe Raceway’s front stretch.
Gates will open at 5:00pm and the night kicks off at 5:30pm with Monster Truck rides followed by a special pit party to meet your favorite Monster Truck drivers. The actual Monster Truck show will start at 8:00pm with ATV quad wars mixed in the action. Advance tickets are available for a reduced rate at Mark 4 Suzuki, Bob Huff Ford, Huff Chevrolet and online at www.ticketweb.com. Tickets will be available for purchase on the night of the event. Grandstand seating is available, but lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome.
This Saturday, Wythe Raceway will be presenting a special Super Late Model Mid-Season Championship race with $1500 going to the feature winner. Watch for Jimmy McCormick, Travis Greer, Lloyd Osborne, Kenny Peeples Jr. and other Wythe Raceway locals as well as some Clash drivers to return for the big night. Saturday night will be highlighted by what many refer to as ‘the best fireworks and racing in all of Virginia’. Wythe Raceway’s annual Fourth of July fireworks show is a great way to kick off the holiday weekend. Admission for the event is just $8 for adults and $2 for kids.
