After living in Sussex county 20 years, I've driven by this racetrack hundreds of times. For the first time on Saturday we drove into the parking lot and had a great time. What an enterainment value!
Me and my family are avid Nascar fans and believe we are up on our racing information. After watching the races on Saturday, we learned we know very little. These races are the best form of racing and very down to earth (especially the amount we washed from our clothes and wiped from our eyes!)
Hope they don't bulldoze this place and put in half-assed built housing like whats covering every other square inch of Sussex county. We need entertainment venues like this for all the racing fans out there!
I would guess, grass roots racing like this should be growing like Nascar's fan base which includes one-third of the U.S. adult population. Some 58% of fans are between the ages of 18 and 44, 42% earn more than $50,000 annually, and 40% are female. Unlike other professional sports, NASCAR is gaining fans.
