I was wondering, since the track officials don't let most know what is going on, has anyone heard if they will add LM's in the future? I think it would be a good idea to have an open practice for LM's.. Maybe give a couple weeks notice so everyone would know, and the track officials would see how it holds up to some extreme horse power.. I know there has to be some Lm's that would probably show up..

What are everyones elses opnions of this? :smiley_397:

RJ the prolblem with the late models is they dont want to come for less than $1200-$1500.00........ With a total purse of about $5000.00 that is and extra 250-350 people they need to bring in just to cover thier purse....

Maybe have a meeting with some of the guys that have Late Models sitting in the garage and see what kind of terms they need to come and race.

I know Harper has expressed interest in the LMs that "don't make the show" at Clarys, so I am of the opinion that there is interest in running LMs. I agree with Charlie. A meeting with the LM drivers would clarify the costs of running them and Harper could decide if it's worth the costs.

Your forum is the place to communicate but They (Harpers) seem to resist communicating for some reason, whether it be knowledge of doing so or not realizing how vital comunications are in a venture like they have undertaken.

I talked with Lisa today, and I must say that she is a nice person. She told me that they have been very busy moving into a new office and they just had a wedding, plus she has her own business as well. I'm sure that once everything settles down they will be communicating a little more. Or at least I hope so..:greenhappy6vn:

They have practice every Thursday night and as far as I know anyone can come.
I went a couple of times and I think there were some latemodles there, at least one night.

I'm sure it okay for late models to practice there. If I had a late model I would consider it. They are going to run late models some I sure. I know they have talk about it and there planning it. I think it would be a great place for the guys that know they can't make the big shows at other tracks. I've seen several late models there at practice.

They are considering late models. I believe they are doing some things to the track(making it a little bit wider) to make it a little better for late models to race. And one reason they are not communicating is the track promoter is sick.

Late Models Welcome to Practice

I have spoken with the Harpers and they said all Late Models are welcome to practice at anytime. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact Lisa or myself. Gates open at 4:30 pm every Thursday weather permitting.
