Why is it that everytime Victor comes to Clary's and wins they take it away from him. If Victor is illegal what about Wayne??? He stayed in front a majority of the time. I think that somebody needs to protest Wayne every once in a while. Wayne took himself out last night so I dont understand what the reasoning was behind what he did. He can get up here and argue all he wants to but he and everyone else saw that he was locking his brakes up on Victor and Victor got tired of it and moved him. Not my opinion. The facts.

How is red dust saying just the facts????
Were you in the 98 looking at wayne's foot on the brake?
Well then, it's just an opinion.
Wayne's legal. Find a driver in that class & put your money where your big mouth is. Wayne would like the extra money.

look man not starting anything. but ask any veteran that has been racing for years and they will tell you if you build your car to the rule book you will run in the back. 1o dont give me that legal crap. it is all in how good you can hide it. and if waynes foot wasnt jammed on the brake how do explain the way he spun. he almost stopped on the track rather than spinning. poor sportsmanship on his part during the caution as well. At least if you are going to do what he did, at least spin the man out. he couldnt even do that. I dont understand why he acts like a big baby just because he gets out ran. You know that happens in racing every now and then. Just because you get out ran doesnt mean you have to try and wreck another car or yell protest. what does that say for your character and your car?

For Your Info Wayne Didn't Do Nothing Wrong, They Just Can't Stand That We Are Always Up Front All The Time So What I Want To Say To You Until You Know What You Are Talking About The Bottom Line Is Victor Was Found Illegel. Also Wayne Was Not Brake Checking Nobody Victor Was All Over The Back Bumper And Victor Also Lifted Wayne Up Off The Track And He Took Wayne Out Meaning To Dothat Is Not What I Call A Accident Posted By A #98 Member Also Known As The Littleton Mafia Member Too.

Looked like the #98 got loose and hit his brakes on the back strait to me, the #69 had no choice but to run into him. I have noticed everytime someone from outside Clarys outruns the #98 he turns into a cry baby and protest...OH well #69 didn't win, but HEY neither did the #98. Why don't the #98 go to County Line on off weeks if he's so bad, or IF WCS opens up go down there.

I'm not sure why so many references have been made to protesting, that is not what happened. The track chose to check the top three cars and at that point it was discovered that the #69 did not have a choke horn on his carb. The #98 didn't finish high enough to protest anyone. As far as what happened on the track I have always believed that what happens on the track should stay between the drivers, they are the only ones that know what really happened. We all should be thankful that no one was hurt and that both cars are still in one piece. Congrats to Chris Meyer on his win, it's been a long time coming!

The 98 Will Be at county line this weekend and as far as victor being so clean if he is not hitting on wayne he is hitting on other cars so they way i look at it if he is going to run why can;t he run legal if eveyine want to say the 98 is not right but up the money and look at it if not shut up victor new he was wrong when he came . I am glad victor did not win it goes to show you right there that if you play with fire you are going to get burned, wayne drives everyone clean and will always, but victor will get whats comeing to him . Look what he did last night and then he was wrong, because he can not run legal and run with that 98 . All I got to say way to wayne get R done again , because we will be there and always be ready .

looks like next week everything will happen at clr and i hope the ones that are comming from clary's has a good time and keeps their car in one piece but what i would like to know is where that 8 was last night he must have been at clarys for the 600.00 cause he wasn't at clr but all i have to say is that there is already some great drivers in that class so if u think that they u are just going to come to clr and the 8,69,99 just gonna slide over let ya'll take the money cause that just is not gonna happen.

last question. If Wayne was so legal and Victor was so illegal then how come the 2 times that Victor has come down and outran Wayne, he was right on Victor's bumber and/or lead almost the entire race? Sounds like someone else is illegal to me.

As a fan in the stands on the pit side, I have to say that the 4 cylinder race was quite interesting. The 98 practically punts the leader, the 66 I believe was the car number, then pretty much takes himself out by brake-checking Victor May in the 69, then got himself loose on the back stretch and took himself out. Oh, and let's not forget that awesome sportsmanship he displayed during the caution when he pushed Victor through turns 1& 2. I've seen the 98 & the 69 race during the last couple of years and it appears that both of them, as well as their crew members, are very passionate about their racing, as they should be. But, to behave the way the crowd with the 98 behaved last night was extremely childish, and that's putting it mildly. The one lady, pink-shirt-cussing-like-a-sailor, should've been ejected from the track. Period. To stomp up and down the pit grandstands cursing, threatening, jumping in the face of a fan, all the while with children under the age of 10 watching, that's a little much. Have some freakin' respect lady! I don't care how you talk to or in front of your kids, but I mind, as well as all the rest of the people with kids last night that had to suffer through your tirade. (it was kids night sponsored by the track, so don't say they didn't have any business there.)Childish and disrespectful. Calm down honey. It's not The Dream. It's 4 cylinders. Ok?
The comment about Victor May drives people dirty, well, I've watched Victor drive for several years and he's just about the cleanest driver that there is on the track. I've seen the 98, the 4, and a couple of others muscle there way around other drivers, but that's not dirty? I guess it's viewed dirty because Victor's not from the general Clary's area and isn't associated with any of the cliques that roams the pits.Maybe it's ok for the 98 to do it, but not Victor. Maybe it's because Victor has many, many wins in the 4 cylinder class and people are maybe intimidated by that. Maybe the sun will shine out of the entire crew of the 98's butt at some point. Who knows. Rubbin' is racin'. If you think it's dirty, fine. That's your opinion. Everyone's entitled to one.
Yes, they found the 69 wrong, a minor oversight by the team. Talked to the tech guy, and was told that Victor didn't know about the rule change. Happens. He wasn't mad. Didn't stomp, cuss, throw stuff and act a fool. He walked over, shook the hand of the winner, put his car on the trailer and went home. Great display of sportsmanship if you ask me. Not a sore loser.
I look forward to going to CLR this weekend to watch a great race with the 98 & 69. That's Victor May's home track, he has many, many wins there and a lot of friends. Let the 98 come on down and show their tails. Threats. Gotta love em! "Play with fire, get burned" was stated in a previous post. Be careful what you wish for. What goes around, most definately comes around, sometimes three-fold. I myself will be in the stands with my cooler enjoying the race, or fight. Which ever breaks out first.
I'm fully prepared for any verbal attacks any of you may have, but if it bothers you that bad, must be a hint of truth to it.

Oh it was more than just me. Everyone on the grandstand side agreed except of course the 98 crowd. Then Wayne came over to the grandstand side and wanted to start talking crap to some of the fans that didnt pull for him. Everyone is not going to be your fan. you just have to live with that Wayne. and if you think that helped your position it just made you look worse.

It took me a while to type that out, not for grammar or punctuation, but to word it right. I didn't want to make it look like I was taking sides or defending one over the other. I just called it like I witnessed it, and if I offended anyone, then like I said, must be some truth behind what I wrote.

I think all everyone who replied to this is childish and immature. Racing is Racing. I been at the Brinkleyville since I was in my moms stomach. So I seen pretty much everything. Its over and done with. Leave it at the track. Its mainly the fans that start all the crap on and off the track. Stop acting like babies and grow up. If you want to pull Wayne down. DO IT! Stop complaining. Wayne can drive. Its not all about the motor. You have to have a driver holding the wheel to make it all happen. I would post the postest rules but there not on clarys site. But I think its like 500$. I sure theres alot of others that aint legal. Most of them prolly run in the back at that.

Just so you know the #66 did not brake check anyone his car broke something off turn #4 in front of me. I can tell you the #98 is no where near legal. He can run with the mods. It,s strange all of a sutton how they checked the top three last night. Next time the #98 wins let,s see if they will do another check. It,s not driving when you can pass half the field in one lap.

Oh my goodness. I thought this was a message board where issues witnessed at a track could be discussed openly. Am I being misled?
No one was talking to you, nor about you buddyjr11. This was a discussion about the 4 cylinder race and the childish, almost lunatic behavior by someone in direct relation to the 98 car. She was wearing a pink shirt and commenced to cussing, and I'm not talking minor cuss words, but dropping the F bomb, MF this, GD that, he's an SOB, F you..on and on and on. Then, to top it all off, she jumped in the face of a fan who was sitting there with her son! This woman was just there, like myself, watching a race with her child. She didn't deserve to be confronted by a raving lunatic.
You stated that it was the fans that started crap on and off the race track. Well, I'm not trying to start anything. I read a post and replied to it. I believe since I'm a registered user, I have that right unless the administrator deems otherwise. I witnessed, along with several others, a crew member of someone either in direct, or maybe indirectly, relation to the 98 practically have a slight breakdown that entailed of a slew of vulgar words, threats towards a fan in the stand sitting with her son, as well as being told to go away by a deputy at the tech area. Who was the childish/immature one then? I sure didn't see that sort of behavior by the 69 crowd, nor did I hear that sort of language from anyone. I saw some "you're number one hand signals", but that was it.
You stated that when someone starts something about you, then you will understand. I went back and read the posts again and no one said anything about you or your class. If you were offended, oh well, ya know, like you said, get over it.

Buddy Jr i never once said Wayne was not a good driver. The man can drive the wheels off the car. I simply stated the fact that his car is illegal and his actions on the track when he cant win is childish and immature. This thread wasnt meant for you. by the way why is it the only time you respond to someone is when someone posts a negative remark? I have tried to get in touch with you and try to be nice but you have simply ignored every post I have directed toward you. So it seems to me that you just want to join in the fun with some crap talk. So if it doesnt concern you, why do these post offend you? You will know when we are referring to you or your dad. I have been nice and not said anything about either one of yall, although I could start some posts that could go on forever.Lets all just get along brother

Ok, I DID return a call to MIKE last night right after I finished burrying one of My MOTHER's dogs that got ran over...........believe it or not, I DO HAVE A LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE RACE TRACK.......the reason I was late returning the call was because I had the freaking phone off because I am so tired of all the complaints about everything I do.........no matter what, I cannot please everyone, and I am getting to the point that I am gonna quit trying......If the person that posted this is Mike, or if you know him, let him know as soon as I can get the tech man on the phone, I will find out exactly why Victor was DQ'd and if it was a mistake on the tech man's part, I will make it right.

Marcia sounds to me you are a little discouraged. Let me tell you something myself and others are not gonna allow one class or one or two teams be the ruin of Clarys Speedway. You keep fighting the fight, there are alot more out there who appreciate what you monk and JC are doing. The race sat night was the highest paying race in the country other than that little race in ohio. You and We have a chance to pull off something very special July 5th and 6th. I have been checking and there are races all that whole ten days or so and the 20 grand may be the highest first place money The Super Stock 4's are the main class *****ing about payout. You guys need to releize you have the cheapest cars and the least amount of fans in the stands. You were given a chance to have a special race and didnt put on the best show in the total interest of clarys speedway this past sat night. I would never say drop any class, but there needs to be some changes. You deserve the chance to race with a fair purse, fair rules and respect. I think you get those things at clarys. I think you need to give a little in return. Your teams need to be a little more profesional in the off track and on track actions. Drivers and team owners step up clean up your class not only on the track but in the pits and stands as well. Maybe do like I do and come on here and try sometimes to over look the negtive and find something positive to post about. In other words help the track and the track will help you. I think its great that some other drivers and company's steped up and gave some extra money for the purse sat night. Two many more nights like sat and the fallout thats going on here now; do you think it will be as easy next time to go to those folks and raise that money again. As I stated at the first of this post one class is not gonna close the gates. I know Marcia well enough that this wouldnt hapeen even if we were talking about the SLM's. Now Marcia get back to work. Teams start doing your part to help. Fans start carrying yourself with some self respect and appropriate public actions. Lets make Clarys not only the best racing track in NC, change that the country, but also the number one family event in eastern NC.

Don't worry JH, I am not discouraged with my track, just with the actions of a few, but I will deal with that accordingly, don't doubt it. You are right, we have one of the best kept secrets on the east coast, and I am doing my best to make sure the cat gets let out of the bag on July 5th and 6th.......In general, the fans, drivers, and everone else involved with Clary's are a GREAT bunch of people!!!!!!!
I would also like to thank the entire 69 team for holding their tempers during what was being "thrown" at them, I have spoken with the deputies and alot of other people that were around the scale area and everyone told me Victor and crew handled themselves with dignity.

I usually do not reply to alot of post but this is one that I am. Alot of people are putting the class down and telling us to quit *****ing and fussing about the purse and other stuff. How many of us have you seen on here fussing and cussing? From what I see it is everybody else that is doing it for us even People that don't even run in our class are doing it.
There has been mabey 2 complaints from our class on here about the purse and that has been addressed. but everyone is condeming the whole class. We may not have put on the best show Sat night as was stated in a prior post but we race just as hard as any other class out there, and it was stated that we have the cheapest cars out there, well if you think that go and build one then tell me how cheap it is.
I respect Marcia and JC and everyone else that works at the track and I am gratefull for them running our class as well as most or all of the other drivers in the SS4's ask them they will tell you.
I admit that somethings could have been handle different from some of the drivers but at the momment they were mad and just weren't thinking and I have seen that in other classes as well and at every track that I have been at.

Chris you did a good job Saturday night. I know a lot of people without cars fuss about the payout for the ss4 class. I think it is because they are just trying to get more out there. Everyone is not a late model fan. i couldnt care less if it were just ss4 or just late models out there. if it is dirt it is good enough for me. Marcia yall are doin a hell of a job and have the highest payout in all classes around. dont worry about everybody else. Good job to Victor. Somebody has to act like an adult

Chris maybe in my post I should have been a little more clear and to the point. Iam sorry If I offended you are any of the other great racers in that class or any other class. I guess what I should have put in there was the old saying "If the shoe fits wear it, If it doesnt throw it away. But I would like to see some of the teams who handle themselves the right way step up and help the track police things better. Sometime theres more weight and the point gets accross better when it comes from someone's peer group.

i am not affiliated with either of the 2 teams, nor am i a fan of the class, but i walked up from the pits to get a seat for the late model race i saw the 98 get turned around. the second place car hit him twice and i would have to say i think if the 98 was on the brakes so hard, the second place car would have been able to pass him. i will also say that i thought there was no better night for kids night because this is just the way the driver of the 98 acted after the incident ranting and raving like a 2 year old. someone ought to video the whole 98 team and let them watch it. after they see how they looked like they might act like they have a little sense.

a well deserve hand go off to clarys for what they go thur every race week getting ready to have these racing and for paying the money that they do. one thing i dont understand is us (the driver). in the race most of us know who we are running behind at all times but if a caution come out then some of us dont know where we are---lost i guess---. make no sense why we dont get in line, stay in line so we can go back racing.....it take to long sometime to get the race back going and it make the show longer than it need to be. i know the weather call the race to go on into the am and we have not control of that but on a normal race night it the driver who make the show be long....

In the 98's defense the 66 broke and lost power that is why the 98 ran over top of him. We heard the motor flutter, then lose power.......Just what we saw and heard from the flagstand.

I have to agree with Buddy's statement, guys you know where you were when the caution comes out, why not stay in position......if there is a problem with the line up , we wil fix it, but over 75% of the time, drviers seem to be trying to gain a spot or two just to see if they will get away with it and that is what takes up the time, haveing to repeatedly stop cars to get everyone where they already know they should be.......Come on guys, help us out on this one PLEASE.........

Another thing that obviously causes the race to go on forever is those huge piles of dirt inside the track. How long did we wait watching JC & the rest of those guys struggle to get the cars off the mounds of dirt? 30 minutes??
So far as letting the cat out of the bag to the rest of the east coast...
remind them to bring their sleeping bags when they come. LOL

There is no way to control the rain, but you could shorten what goes on. Do away with interviews, pictures and anything to take up time so that all the racers could get the race in. Anything extra should be done away with except racing on a night like last week. Maybe the kid's night should have even been moved to another night - don't do away with it, just postpone it for a clear night. Just an idea.

Are you saying that Marcia should check her calendar with Mother Natures??? LOL!!! You just can't cancel an event the day it is to happen when it comes to the kids. Once you say that you are going to do something special for them, they depend on it!
And take away the photos and interviews from the drivers... NO! That's what winning is about! Giving the interviews, waving to the fans, taking a picture! These guys worked hard for that win! Let them celebrate! They can't hear people clapping or hollering for them when they are strapped in with their helmets on! Let the guys have their moment of glory!
Oh and if you are complaining about how long everything last.... STOP! You have an option to leave when you are ready! You knew what you were getting into when you walked thru the gates!

in any way - just suggesting. Race tracks are at the mercy of the weather every week. Things are plannned, but sometimes, adjustments need to be made so all the races can get in. That is really what it is all about in the long run. If it means the difference in everybody getting to race, things need to be adjusted. Hey, I have kids - they are flexible. As long as they know it is going to happen, they will be fine with it. AND, the winners should not have a problem with interviews, pictures, etc. They should be able to forget all of that so that other drivers get to race. If they don't - they are very vain indeed!! That's all.

Hey, I appreciate the suggestions, but I know what those winner's photos and interviews mean to the drivers(most of them anyhow).....Russell Boyd got his 1st win this year, and he has busted his butt trying to get there, he deserved his interview time and to have his photo taken........How about Jarvis, I realize it was his second win this season, but if you had seen his face when he got out of that car.......he deserved it, they all deserve it.....and as for postponing kids night......well, then how many people would have come up to me and started saying "I only came because it was kids night to bring my chidlren" or "I won't have them on so and so weekned and they won't be able to make it back if you reschedule"........There is no way I was going to dissapoint a child when it was their night(and I think there are a few more places we can fine tune that for next year to save a little more time).......I realize things went a little long, but other than Saturday night and the night of the Clash, we have been out at a decent hour(thanks in a big part to Charlie keeping it moving).....Come on, please bear with us, kids night is only once a year.........I am sorry the Super Street and Junkyard classes didn't get to run, but we did try to get the races in, the last rain was just too much........

people are complaining about what time they got out of there Sat night well guess what i had to get up Sun morning at 6am and be at work in Gaston by 7am. i stayed until the Pure Stock V8 race left at 3am and got home and went to bed got up the next morning and went to work and got off at 12pm. not to mention got up sat morning at 7am to work on the car for that night. i also went to work at 12pm on sat and got off at 5pm then straight to the track. so i think if anyone should complain it would be me but i am not complaining and i am 17 and people talk about how lazy teenagers are well not this one.
Marcia i have a suggestion about the lining up problem under caution. here it is, once the caution is thrown bring the cars to the back stretch to the corner man and stop them right after the caution is thrown. when you are ready to go green then send the cars off in order and then give them the one to go signal and next time by throw the green. that is just a suggestion.

as for the burm..........is was off this past week, I have to agree with that, but JC has realized this and will get it back the way it was the race before the clash.....it was fine then.........there will be no inside rail or wall and NO TRACTOR TIRES.......We are considering white chalk to "highlight" the beginning of the infield........I will have an extra wrecker at the track for the rest of the season......that will make a total of 4 there.......as for another 4 wheeler.......jc has already taken mine and made it a track vehicle, and we do have one in the shop now, hopefully we can get it back b4 the 5th.......Now, I will see what I can do about getting one of the wreckers and possibly a 4 wheeler in the infield.......

wow. i really liked the post about moving the kids night to a clear night. do the best with what you have is my philosophy. you have to make the best of the situation that you have. you cant control the rain and stuff happens in a race to slow it down. so dont do away with anything. as justin stated, the interviews and the pictures are all apart of winning.
