Anybody have an idea of what happen to him?I know he won 1 race earlier in the year....is the cost of living in VA that cheap to be able to win 1 race a year and take off?Or was it the stiffer competition that started coming to the Oak that ran him off? Just curious.:icon_rock:

He has his super motor in right now and running at Wythe. And before you ask he was in a wreck 2 weeks ago and didn't have it put back together for this past weekend.

I feel sure its not the competition, Maybe you can ask the track i'm sure they'll give ya the real reason!! Jeff is one great driver and where ever he races he will do a great job of wheeling that Rocket. By the way it was great to see R.L. looking so good about two weeks ago,All you can say about the whole Young racing team is there just pure CLASS!!!

I heard it had something to do with a driver getting to run a set of heads that were not legal to run oat OLR. And all the other drivers couldn't run them. Well, I tried to say as nice as I could anyway.

LOL...and i'm sure if the track told Jeff he could run the 230's he would to.How can this "Driver" be in the wrong for running the heads if the track told him he could?
I heard the OLR may be having another slm race soon sure hope Jeff comes out to play.

You ask a question, now I'll ask you one.
Why would any team, after already knowing the rules , and knowing they say "if the rules don't say it's legal, then it isn't legal" call the track and ask if he can run with "unapproved parts" ? How about just dropping it, I just replyed because you got smart about the 04. this talk only makes things worse.

i think the only reason he hasn't came back yet is because he couldnt run with the big boys and he decided he would just go and win every weekend a wythe

im with jeff he can run with any of the big dogs around but if the track isnt gonna treat everybody fair why run there there is a set of rules to run by and if there isnt a tech man at the track to check the cars then you could run a super motor and not get caught i was there the other night and a man from garys team wanted to check stevies heads but no one was there to tech anybody why even have a rule book if you cant tech the cars when they come across the scales i race with them and probaly the smallest motor there

Listen enuff is enuff. This topic has been beat to death from the first of the year get off it. As far as the tech man he had some personal issues with his wife and kids which is his business. I guess if you work at a track you're not supposed to have anything to come up to keep you from the track. If you want to race you will be there if not u won't so get over it already.

so i guess if the flagman has to miss a couple weeks we wont have a flagman either? seems you would have someone else to step in, in matters like these? just my thought.

Just to let ya'll know jeff was DQ'ed at wythe on 7-1 why i don't know and i don't think jeff needs to resort to cheating if he was aware of it.He is a good driver and maybe he's just tryin to stay up on things lol

i think the only reason he hasn't came back yet is because he couldnt run with the big boys and he decided he would just go and win every weekend a wythe
look on www.wytheraceway.com (http://www.wytheraceway.com) as far as I can tell he has not won at Wythe and the only repeat Winner there year is Kenny Peeples Jr with 2 wins. It is not easy to win a Super Late Model race at Wythe and if you get DQ'ed there it can only be running light or wrong compound on the tires, maybe running Alcohol.....
Super lates have Unlimited engines and you can do what you want with Gas and one four barrel everything else is limited by your Dollars...
Winners at Wythe......
Jimmy McCormick
Wayne Hughes
Randy Taylor
Travis Greer
Kenny Peeples 2
Chris Meadows
Dennis "Rambo" Franklin (clash race, Southern Nationals race)
