OK, first of all i canot belive you would even bother to call them with Clary's running this weekend for $6500 to win, $350 to start. Come on now you know all the DE guys are faithful to Clary's and all that WONDERFUL "southern hospitality". As for that purse, if you aren't going to Clary's you might as well stay at DIS, it would be a better payday in the end, hardly no traveling involved. LOOK OUT Clary's, DE will be back this weekend.

Well I like to travel different tracks. I have not been to Clary's this year because I just started driving A LM this year. I have seen all the competition there and I know I would not stand a chance.. I was looking at Dublin because I have never been there either. But I can't make the long haul for $125.00.

I usually don't get involved in posting on these message boards but, I have to give Monk, JC and Marcia the credit. They always greet us with the upmost hospitality of any tracks we have ran down in the Carolina's. We will be making the trip from Maryland to run at Clary's this Saturday night. I just don't see going to dublin to run for 4 grand with so much extra cost as well as so little to start. You can't beat what Clary's is paying out. I have talked to alot of other drivers from this area who can't see not running Clary's either.
I wish some of those guys in LM from CLR would get brave and try Clarys this year. Too many LM's just sitting up in the shop because they won't come to Clarys. #47 Booby Bottoms, #21 James Batten, #V1 Spencer Liggon just to name a few.

i have talked to james batten myself and he told me that everytime he goes to clary's he tears it to pieces . he told me that he wanted to go to a gun fight with a gun not a stick

Yes you sure did. I would love to know the fan count, had to be 2,000 or more. I was told that Clary's had a low fan count last night but they did have around 23 late models. Looking at the dublin versus clary's payout the positons from 3rd to ninth there is not that much difference. Good drivers like Weeks and Gr Smith are not concerned what the to start pay out is, and these are the drivers you want in your gates, the ones the fans know. They will finish good anyway unless an accident gets them. And if you are in an accident your last thought is how much money you got to start the race. The thing they are lookag at is trying to make it to the top 5 or 10.. and for the most will usually finish there on a good night.

Clary's
3rd - $1200
4th - $800
5th - $700
6th - $600
7th - $500
8th - $400
9th - $375
10th-20th - $350

Dublin
3rd $1200
4th $800
5th $600
6th $350
7th $250
8th $225
9th-11th $200
12th -14th $175
15th-17th $150

Why is it that a $6,500 to win race can't pay more down the line? I think that Clary's needs to pay less up top and spread it out the field. Lower the gate fees and they will have more fans in the stands more cars in the pits. That is what everyone is telling them and for some reason just wont do it.

I don't know about Spencer, but Bobby and James both have commitments to CLR on Saturday nights. James was at Wayne County a couple of weeks ago for the Super Seven race (and did quite well I might add, despite being underpowered compared to most of those guys).
