Why did they reschedule? The Carolina Clash is at Wythe the same night running for $4000.

As best we could tell by talking to who we talked to about it this morning, we will only lose one car to Wythe.

Why would they do that, most people go to OLR on Fridays, and 311 on Saturdays.

80% chance of rain and most teams are sick of driving all that way just to turn around and go home. Good Call OLR!:icon_beerchug:

I heard of tracks calling races early, but 24 hrs early when it hasn't rained a drop yet is too early.

Well it's like this if there is an 80% chance of rain it is a good chance it's gonna rain. Like Sundi said if you can avoid it why not. We are taking a chance running saturday but look at it this way it will tell where the track is standing. At least you have good notice and can plan on what to do.

How does it make sence to step on other tracks toes when your race date is Friday nights, and your fans make plans to come to OLR on Friday nights, and go to other tracks and race or watch on Saturday nights? Maybe if it rains some Saturday night Bobby will run 311 on Friday night and it will be OK too. I take it as meaning that since OLR is switching to Saturday night, it doesn't matter what anybody elses plans are. Loose one car to Wythe, (9) but you won't be picking up any SLM"s either will you? I mean they will all be at Wythe, so you are having a big super race with one car less than last week. Ok, I see where I'm not wanted , Wythe Raceway here I come, and I'll find somewhere else to go next Friday night. Dang call race off last Friday when sun was shining bright at 7:45, might not have had any dust, and call next race off a day early...lol....

Did anyone think that some SLM might come to this race to check out the track for the Clash race at OLR. And they would bring a following of fans? Not now, we are all busy Saturday night.

Not going anway, but just checked the latest forcast...50% chance of rain Friday, 40% chance of rain Saturday for the OLR area.

Looks like you're wanting to stir up a bees nest. Don't see the oak working with any tracks. Too bad. Wonder if any of the drivers running for points at 311 will decide to go to the oak for a chance to run with Supers and maybe a chance to win an extra $500.

Well Dirtbag its like this he sees it as doing the best thing for the drivers who drive the long trips....and as far as it goes stepping on toes r u saying any track that decides to run the same night as 311 is a bad track for doing so ...seems to me like not too long ago you was talking bad about 311 because of the Gary East deal but now it seems that for one night there may be a couple of cars less at 311 and you want to stir up a big stink over it...a little competition on saturday nights might make owners of other tracks realize drivers make the tracks not the owner and it may make them realize how much drivers mean to the track....

No ss, actually I couldn't care much less for 311. To me it's just a simple matter of ethics, now a days it's good for any tracks to try to work well together, but this is bad for the racefans, I for one am being made to choose which super race to see, along with others. I still think it's an iddiot running 311...LOL.... Just seems like a bad deal to me,..but , who am I? I'm just one person with an opinion.

Unfortunately, OLR is too far to drive for me every week.

I go to 311 and it is not around the corner, but much closer.

The fans will pay the price if there is a competition for drivers on the same night.

I know there has been a lot of turmoil since the track went under new ownership but I would really hate to see it close.

There will maybe 2 or 3 supers there and that will be it if their lucky. The rest will still run their steel heads. Big whoop.:smiley_601:

Guys let's don't go track bashing. I don't think David mean't to step on any toes or hurt anyone's plans. He was just trying to get a show in. He has bills to pay and if he doesn't run he doesn't make anything. It may be a bad idea but if it is just give it a little credit for trying to do something. How would you feel if you had a job that depends on the weather and it rained everyday and couldn't work. This may never happen again. Last Friday, sure the sun was shining at 7:30 but it was pouring the rain at 6:00. You have to make a call early enough to try and catch all you can before they pull out to the track. Sorry if we stepped on any toes. Hopefully the sun will be shining every friday from here on out and won't have this problem. Don't think we have made to many bad calls this year but at least give a couple, nobody's perfect.
