i'd like everyone to look on the main page at the 2006 national point standing posted by racechaser. Look at all the names on that list who have either been to clarys or will be coming to clarys this season. Now sit back and think how much expense and traviling you would have to do to see all those names. I think we all owe the clarys alot of thanks and continued support for what they do for us. I know everyone is not a SLM fan or think a track can survive without them, well I have to tell ya you are wrong. I'am not saying that the other classes should be sh-t on, but the clarys have bills to pay to provide a track for you guys to race at in the other classes. I think the purse at clarys is fair for all the divisons considering what the track gets in return. Did everyone see those satnds sat night? They were not full to see the other 6 classes. Now please no one take this the wrong way, Iam stating facts as I see them. Up untill this season I was just a fan sitting in the stands and I never, you here me never left not one time untill the junkyards were over. But everyone who comes through that front gate or even the back doesnt love it like I do and many others who support or work for clarys speedway. Now for some its all about their class and the he-l with the rest or it all about the SLM's and the he-l with all the others. Some where there has to be a middle ground and I think with the highest purse's around clarys has found that middle ground.

first of all i want to say, if u can go anywhere close by and race for 600.00 in a super stock 4 race, by all means tell me where that is, but then again i don't think there is a track that pays taht for a class even if it is a big race for that class, i'm sure if that class don't won't to race for that much, i'm pretty sure there is another class that will.

How many support cars will show up this week? Harpers is racing Saturday night too and I hear every Saturday night fromhere on out. SLM pays the bills yes, but support classes are needed as well.

the 82 will be at clary's. i would think they would come to clary's unless they have money for tires cause that track burns up the american racers cause its like grits in the track. clary's has a much better track.

I do too .. But it seems like no matter what Marcia does someone is still going to *****..Everyone asked for some bigger purse races for the supporting divisions and she has done that. $600 to win this weekend for SS4 that's $400.00 more than a regular nite...:smellie16:

There will be several really good support division cars back out at Clary's shortly. From Mod 4's, V-8 Stock, SS and Sportsmans.

I'll be there June 10th new and hopefully improved, but I am sure we will have a few kinks to work out. Michael Morris in SS, Buddy, Jr. & Robbie Morris V-8 stock, Brad Thiede mod 4/sportsman are all possibilities for this weekend too. The others just depend on how the rest of the week goes for them. You coming to Clary's this weekend?

I am grateful for all the drivers and fans that come to support us. Some people have had bad expierences or been in the past and did not enjoy it. Things change, it is not good to let something from years ago or past management keep you away. The Isles team was willing to give CLR a chance this past weekend and I hope they enjoyed it. Maybe things were different their previous time down. I hear alot of bad things about the track that are not true. If others give it a shot, they may enjoy it.

James you said it all.......Buddy called me after the race this past Saturday and let me know that he had won and also what a good time he had there. I hope in the next few weeks that we are off more of our support cars will come down and run with ya'll, and maybe I can get a few more of those CLR guys up here next time ya'll are off.

i hope that some of the clary's support divisions would run and just see if the clr boys could have home track advantage on that giving night and then when they have a big race at clray's to see if clarys could keep home track advantage but i know its that the drivers don't do it for advantage but they race to have fun in the dirt and i know that is what the drivers want to see and fans want to see safe clean driving.

How bout this for an idea. I know it works in sc. The two tracks get together, come up with some close to common rules, and run some races on off nights at each track. Make a little series out of it. Everyone complains about only big races for the SLM's, but this would give both tracks the chance to maybe up their purses for the support classes maybe like 4 times a year. I would think the purse would be able to be raised quiet a bit if both tracks knew on that night they would get 20-25 cars in each class on those given nights. Maybe even have a little points fund or if nothing else a big trophy. Just a thought

JH wouldn't Dixieland in Elizabeth City or Potomac in MD be just as close to you as Dublin? With all the drivers they are claiming are confirmed, Dublin might be the place to be Friday night. I saw on thier confirmed drivers list that they have Rick Whaley www.dublinracefans.com has the drivers list.

Those other two tracks dont run slm every week and yes iam leaving tomorrow at 4pm headed to dublin. Gonna give em one more chance at my money. I know as of now rick has not got his room yet that he gets each time he comes down for the weekend and I know geogetown is running friday night so I will be real interested to see him there and I have some douts about some others on that list also.

I talked to Steve with Anthony Rushing Wed. He was suprised to see that Rick was going to Dublin as well. They were planing on going to Wayne County, but that's a different story.... Dublin is a loooooooong haul for Rick or Anthony Rushing. With Georgetown running SLM fri you would think that would be a better option, then come to Clary's Sat.. The SLM at GT are paying 200.00 to start versus Dublins 125.00 that's $75.00 more and alot closer..

To JH ,

I agree with trying to do something to help out all the area tracks. The rules are evry close at the area tracks. They just have different names for the divisions at each track. If each track ran one special event for a particular division each month , it could be very beneficial to all involved. It will just take time to get most of the drivers willing to try a new track.

I can assure you with what I know about the people in this Gtown venture, the drivers are treated very well up there and they honest and truly care about the drivers and the surface they provide to race on......Alot of hard work and dedication have gone into making racing at Gtown a reality this season, and I have to give a big "atta boy" to all involved

Everyone complains about the SLM getting big shows and not the support classes. Support drivers need to be thankful for Clarys. Most other tracks give a few support classes off on big SLM race nights, those guy don't have anywhere else to go unless they travel.
