Where is wythe raceway and how do you get there from Roanoke Rapids

Just get to I-77 north and from there hit I-81 south to exit 60, take a right at the bottom of the ramp and then the first right onto the frontage road. Drive until you see a dirt late model on top of a sign and turn left, your are there

You are right that is how u get more locals. Jimmy is a great example of this. Also some of the clash guys are also thinking about coming up some time for a regular race when they are off they like the track that much.

Kyle From raleigh Take I-40west to business40 at winston salem to 52 north to fancy gap then I-77 north to I-81 south to exit 60. Take right at bottom of ramp then first right onto frontage rd. follow frontage to the sign. If you look on the right before you get to exit 60 you can see the sign with the late model on the top.

cant wait for the clash tomorrow night..with the rain and the cooler temputures for tomorrow night, the track should be fast..4 years ago, when the clash first came to wythe, they had 1 race..when the drivers were interviewed before the race, alot of them said they wanted to come back 2 times the next year, and they did,and again, alot of them said they would love to race 3 times at wythe a year, and for the 2nd year in a row, they do..car count usually in the mid 30's,always a packed house..for the ones who dont come because they follow the locals, the followers of the carolina clash, and then some, fill the grandstands..every race they have had at wythe has been good racing..the staff of the clash are 1st class,a privlige to work with and talk to Larry Lee and his crew..in case you didnt know,we will be running all classes with the exception of the crate late models..will be an awesome show

Super Lates and 5 classes of junk. No more travelling that far when they want to run all that local junk. Thats right blondie junk. I'm sick of leaving the races after midnight with a 2-3 hour ride home. Wanna have a special race then race the special cars only with one or two support classes. My one trip to that dump in Wythe was not the special experience I see described here. It's a dump cut into the side of the hill. And the night I went it was a clash race that turned into a parade. I can see that at Bowman Grey Stadium. You people need more entertainment venues.

Hey sorry charlie!!! Just wanted to comment on youre opinion of Wythe raceway junk, I was at 311 last Sat. night and what did I see 2 race cars And Alot Of JUNK!!!! No offence but theres better racing in the modified street race at Wythe than the total 2 car show at 311!! I don't know if youve eaten to much Lexington BBQ or what but PLEASE,PLEASE wake up cause you be dreaming!!! I counted 106 cars last night. Just wondering how many did youre favorite track have?? Just what I thought Two classes of junk as you call it had more cars than youre whole field!! So id say to you stay there and watch ya little fields of cars!! I'd say they want miss you but thats just my OPinion!!! And yes I know about Opinions!!!! You have a great day SIR!!!:yousuck:

After reading your opinion posted here about "entertaiment venues", I wonder just how content you are with your choices of entertainment. Riding 2-3 hours to a "dump" couldn't be very much fun either. Why would you want to do that when I'm sure your local dump is like most, only ten or so minutes away. And look what can be done with the other two hours and fifty minutes. Maybe if your local track isn't providing you with enough enterainment venues to keep you from seeking it elswhere, then maybe you can find another hobby that's more fun. good luck

I don't go to 311 either. I like the track. Too bad it's run by clueless Bobby.
Maybe Fred can come down and promote 311.
No good weekly racing to see around here. Only going to big shows.

So with nothing to do I went back to Wythe to see the clash. My second trip to Wythe was 100% better than my first. That was a good show. My hats off to Fred. That was the best dirt show I've been to this year.

I'll be going back to Wythe. Probably try 311 next time super lates are there. But if Bobby Johns hasn't learned anything since the first one this year I won't make any more trips there till it changes hands again. The facility is still a little better at 311 but Wythe has made a ton of improvements.

PARADE???? They were racing 2 and 3 wide threw most of the field. You must be an asphalt fan that just can't get a grip and face facts what real racing is. I thought Wythe is a awesome track. I like it and the action alot better than 311.
