JASON KELTNER capped off an eight day run of engagement, college graduation and the biggest win of his racing career leading only the last lap picking up the third annual Jerry Rucker Memorial at the Bluegrass Speedway.

Fast qualifier WHITNEY McQUEARY grabbed the lead at the start of the 30 lap main event ahead of outside front row starter BRAD NEAT. Exiting turn two, Keltner, JOEY DANEIL and JIMMY OWENS moved under Neat. As McQueary pulled away from the field, Owens worked his way under Daniel and Keltner to rise to second. Behind them, LEE DEVASIER moved under Neat into fourth.

While McQueary worked traffic Owens moved in to challenge for the point. After a look in turn three, the Newport Nightmare worked under the Whit Rock to grab the lead. As Owens drove away to a half straightaway lead, McQueary brought out the first caution on lap 23 with a flat right rear tire.

On the restart Owens led second running Keltner along the hub. Behind them Neat moved past Devasier on the outside before the final caution flew for debris. As Devasier pitted with a flat right rear Owens took the final green. With Keltner following on the hub, Owens politely stepped out of the groove on the final lap with a flat right rear as the Jet grabbed the lead and rolled off turn four to the biggest win of his young career.

Neat finished second with McQueary and Daniel trailing third and fourth.

A dandy of an event that will set the stage for the Tuesday night BoB show in a couple weeks.

Also capping off a night of feel good wins, Casey Bryan won his first ever feature win and 4mer known as the Big Smooth Robbie Gullion ran away with the Mod feature. All this that put us home well before midnight. Nice job indeed.
