Why have a web page???

I wonder why some tracks have a web page its never updated like they say it will be. When they say they will have results posted and don't that to me means they don't really care if they have fan support or not, or maybe they think if they can't come to every event they don't need to post any results because they never paid to see what happens.does anyone else feel this way or am I the only one?? I drive 4 hours to come to the race and its virtually impossible for me to go to all but I still would love to know who wins.

Do you know what is all involved in keeping a site updated? I know that Lisa is one of the quickest I have seen. She will normally have the website updated the same night. There are many factors that go into play, maybe she's a mom and today she's taking off.. Maybe she's having computer issues, maybe the business that is hosting the site is having issues. Just because the results are not posted on the website the same night or before 12:00 the next day, does not mean they don't update it. I myself keep a tracks site updated and I have not updated it yet either. Why? Because I have not received the full run down or anything from the track. I am leaving home at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate Mothers Day and it may not get updated untill later this afternoon. Like I said there are many factors that can come into play when it comes to updating a website, so just give them the benifit of the dought.:wings_rofl:

It's got results from may 5th on it. Not many of them update weekly results overnight. If you need results faster than that I can tell you how. Dig 12 dollars out of your pocket and go. Then you can post them on here for everyone.

I agree RJ dont down things when u dont have a full understanding of what it takes to keep a site updated...
As for u Tim im sure if u had just asked if anyone knew the stats from friday night that someone would have greatly posted them in the forum for u......So if u would like to know the stats just ask and i or someone else will gladly post them for u...

Umm..only one's I know is Buddy Smith in Crates, Steve Blackburn in LM's.

Thanks to everybody that understands...I really appreciate it...and usually I ALWAYS update the website on Friday night staying up till wee hours in the morning figuring points, results and updating the site...as many of you know I have been going through a whole lot of stuff lately, also Friday night after the race at 2:53 am I welcomed another grandbaby boy in the world...I now have 3...2 boys and 1 girl...I traveled back home from out of town from the hospital, slept 2 hours and went back racing Saturday night...of course Sunday was Mother's Day and I spent the morning and noon with my daughter and her 2 children and after that I went to the hospital with my other daughter to spend her first Mother's Day with her and then I came back and spent the rest of the evening with my own Mom...this morning I am working on the site...I will update today...I apologize for any problems that "my" weekend caused anybody...but always KNOW that unless something HUGE has happened that the website will always be updated with points and results by Saturday morning...please try to remember that I'm human too...all you teams are VERY important to me...I'd never do anything to hurt any of you or take away from you...I'm very proud of you all and I love seeing you all race...the best of the best in my opinion! So again, please accept my apology for not having the website updated sooner.

After that explanation if anyone has a ? or a problem with your website not being updated this weekend, they don't deserve an anpolgly. Lisa you have no reason to appologize one this was a special holiday for all us mothers and an extremely special weekend for u ... congrats by the way..The thing is this.. if that guy had just asked the stats from friday u know someone would have given them to him but he came in being a jerk and i personally feel if he was gonna act that way then until he asked i wasnt gonna tell him crap. If he wants to know that bad and be that disrespectful then he should have just went to the track and seen for himself..

Every time I go to the race tracks...every time I get on here and read the conversations I realize more and more why you all are the best! It is an absolute honor to work with you all...it truely is!

I want to apologize...again...for being late this week updating the website...my new grandbaby was transferred to Roanoke because of medical problems...not to mention everything else that is going on...but a warm and special thank you to everybody for all your comments...you all are the reason why I love what I do!

ok...last one.... i mean it. lol... Some people think you can update a website in 3 minutes... Well actually you can. But then it take 30 minutes to an hour to get it to look right and line up. And thanks for the link on yours. Matter of fact i need to update mine. maybe saturday night or sunday night. woohooo....20 posts.....
