CLEVELAND, Tenn. (May 4) - The Cleveland (TN) Speedway will hold an
open practice for all divisions next Tuesday evening (May 9th). The track
will be open from 5PM until dark for all divisions and classes including
racecars that might run at a different tracks. Grandstands are free and the
pits admission of only $10. "We continue to get requests from racers who
would like some practice time to get their cars dialed in..." said Cleveland
promoter Monty Morrow. "It will be open to any and all racecars whether they race with us or not." With a schedule that is chocked full of "special
events" the practice is a good way for raceteams to get ready before the
"money" races.
In the month of May at the Cleveland (TN) Speedway the Hobby division race their "Mid-Season Championship" on Saturday the 13th and on the 20th is the annual O'Reilly Southern All-Star series "Coca Cola" Tennessee Memorial race.. This Saturday night, May 6th, is a Full Racing Program in all divisions; Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Hobby, B-Hobby, Pony Stocks and Front Wheel Drives. Pit gates will open at 4PM with the grandstands opening at 5PM and the racing starts at 7:30PM.
Adult grandstand tickets are $12, kids 6 to 11 are $3 under six are free. Pit passes are $20. For more information call the track (423)479 - 8574 or visit
