I undersatand that you are starting the track but just a little advice you are not going to get any ss4 cars because they are wasting there time by coming up there, we will just stay at calrys until you know what you are doing , minnie stock is getting more the ss4 you better look into that . the most car were there were ss4 when it rained out , your track is so hard you will burn up a 125.00 tire and then have to pay 20.00 for car and 20.00 for driver No thanks clarys knows what there doing ,all of the ss4 are going to stay there, Good luck you are going to need it.

Have you called the folks and said anything to them about it? It isnt fair to them to bash em on the net if they are not aware of the difference between the classes. I personally will be at harpers even if no pay out is offered because I do love the sport and location for obvious reasons. I do agree that it is more costly to run a ss4 over a pure stock 4, but to threaten that all ss4 cars will be at clarys is your opinion and not necessarily the opinion of all the racers in that class. I think that once it is pointed out PROPERLY to them the new owners will do the right thing. Just my $0.02

I asked Lisa about the payouts...And her response was that the "lower" class cars were gonna pay a $50 entry fee..Not sure how many Mini Stocks are gonna want to do that...or can afford to do it....But that was the answer

I have to agree with 77ministock. You need to call Lisa and give her your input and sugestions. Clary's has it together because they have had time to iron out all the details and learn from their mistakes. You need to give Harpers a chance to make corrections as well. Don't just throw them to the wolves so quickly.

NO matter how you look at it unless thay RECLAY the track with GOOD CLAY with NO sand in it,It will cost you a set of tire's every week. Take that away from the socalled payout +gas +1 to 4 pit pass +fuel for race car + food = That's why I allway's say IF YOU WON'T GOOD CAR COUNT "PAY GOOD MONEY"like Clary's . I know it cost alot for new clay but if your in it for the long haul and not just another "overnighter" you don't mind becouse the cost will repay itself in the long run.It also let's the driver's know if thay have to spend extry money to get the car right for your track it won't be a waste of money you'll be there NEXT year.

Not so sure it needs a new surface. Last thurs there were guys running 15-20 laps at a time, that never really got the tires hot. If its worked right you can run on it all night. Carl Powell #04 was flying in his SLM and the track was smooth. Eddie Woodruff in his SS too. There was some fast cars at practice and nobody complained about the track surface.. That I heard anyway. They are still learning this racetrack stuff . So give them some time.

The track was in good shape at practice. The soils on the surface of the track are different than clarys that is a given. Tires are manufactured in many different compounds from very soft to somewhat firm. If you run the softest tires on a track that has a more abrasive surface it will wear quicker. I would recommend using a tire with a little harder compound, I do and generally cut a tire down before they are worn out. I heard Mr. Harper mention attempting to recover the silt from the bottom of the track that has washed over the years and incorporate it into the racing surface. This would be a more clay like surface to work with and would definately cut down on tire wear. They are still learning and need input and help from the racers. It appears that they are going to work around Clarys schedule and being able to race every weekend is a benefit to all.

I emailed the owners and advised them of the pay differences in the class. I went to their home page and it has been updated with the revised information in regards to 4cyl pure stock and ss4. NOW LETS GO RACING.
