I just saw on the track website where the Super Late Model Purse has been set for $1000 to win and drops off to $100 by tenth. Don't get me wrong on this, I love the track and the way the programs are ran, but Fred can't seriously expect to draw many Supers with a purse like that. Friendship was paying more than that 10 years ago for steel heads and double that for supers. I hope when the numbers aren't there, Fred will consider the raising the purse. This could be a breakout year for the track, but with a payout like, I don't think it will happen.

That was a shocker when I saw it, I figured it would at least be $1,500. It will be good to see supers, hard to say how many they will have from week to week.

Just check any track on this forum, and all the tracks are paying more of a purse for late models than Wythe is wanting to pay the Supers. I don't see many supers going there for a purse that small.

I don't want to sound like I'm beating a dead horse, but I really wish the nice people at Wythe would reconsider their purse for the Supers. While last nights racing was good, wouldn't it be nice to start the kind of field you have for the crates, in your premire division? 14 cars have shown up for the first two events, but I'm afraid those numbers won't increase until the purse does. And of the 14, they'll be lucky if 5 make the feature when the Clash and Southern Nationals are there. It's just something to think about, but if the purse was doubled back to 15th, I bet you would have a full 24 car field every week.
