I would say on a Clash night you need to get there at least by 7 pm to get a good seat (up high). Alot of fans show up for Clash races. I was surprised at how big the crowd was this past weekend. Hope you enjoy your first REAL race - LOL! I believe you will find there's nothing quite like dirt racing. Let us know how you liked it.

TO: MikeJG24- Make sure you carry some glasses to keep the dirt out. If it is like satnight it will be dusty. The clay that was added was not enough to improve the racing at the track. The speeds were about the same. It still is to sandy.

I did go the the practice on March 25th and I know that all the cars werent on the track at the same time..the most cars on the track was about 7 or 8 but I still enjoy'd it alot...and I know that the real race will be 100 X's better and I can't wait.....are we allowed to bring foldable chairs in to use at the top of the grandstands?...and I noticed that they just changed the schedule and added Sprint Cars...wow that sounds awesome ....can you buy tickets early or is it just walk up to the track and pay then....thanks for all the info!! :D

I went to FMS Saturday night. Stopped in Wilson and got a bag of chicken from Bills BBQ. Made it to FMS in 1 hour, 25 minutes from Bills. Come on down! If you get there by 9pm you should see $20 worth of action.

You can bring folding chairs but you may want to get there early to get on the higher and wider rows. Tickets are purchased at the gate, no advanced tickets that I'm aware of.

I see on the main site that the Grandstand Gates open at 5PM...at what time should I be at the track?

Everytime I go for a clash race I pay the little extra for the pits its only like 5 bucks I think. Then you have a excellent chance of taking your chairs in that gate real early and picking your spot.

The best place to sit is the VIP area. It is up high to where you can see alot better. You can go inside or stay outside up on the deck of the VIP section. Just be rested up because it will be a long night. The clash at FMS in 2005 took too long to get going. I have been to the last three at FMS in which has never started before 10pm. The clash SLM event never ends before 2pm or later.
