Well its certainly not choice one or two for me - this is my first year going to CLR ... and its a 143 mile drive each way! :horsey:

Just like clremt2, I really like the racing AND the people - that's what keeps me driving right past exit 160 every Saturday.

ive been going to clr since it has been open. i can remember when we had shelton mcnair, eddie massengill, roger matthews, roger lucas, charlie stephenson, rodney brickhouse, cy nelms, tater liles, jesse bogue and when the funny lookin guy on the flagstand raced a #07 car. ive always enjoyed the track and always wanted to race on the same track that these guys did. now im livin my dream.

I remember when the driver tried to throw the flagman off the stand but got throwed off his self and when they banned Shelton and Irvin for so many altercations.WES you make me feel old ,I remember most of those drivers when they raced at Wilson County Speedway.

Remember the days of David Helfinger, Moon Mullens, Dennis Capps and those guys in 4 cylinders.

And never forget the man, Roger Matthews, that man could drive the mess outta a racecar.

Still remember John Batten driving on dirt.

Wow, its been a long time and CLR is still my favorite track.

How could anyone forget about them two going at it every weekend? Remember the fire extinguisher incident. Dang from super street to sportsman too. Remember Kent Wright running super street? He had a wicked car man. Bad fast.

or johnnie wood in a 4cyl? milton cook in his #12 car. 24 late models each week and 16 of them could win at any given time. britches and his beretta. the liles brothers racing asphalt at wayne county. ken corbitt having a car painted like jeff gordons. when greg williams had that bad lil pinto. jimmy holcombe in the #3 4 cyl. i could go on and on.
