Rumors.....

I have heard in the past three days that County Line will not be racing this year. I was told this by several people. What I am hearing is that there is a noise ordanace now on the count of the housing developments that are surrounding the race track. Is this true or is it just a bunch of rumors? Me personally, I think it is just a rumor as from what I have heard started at the Clary's car show. Any info would be very helpful as if this is not a rumor, me and a bunch of other guys will have to find somewhere else to race at.

I would assume it is a rumor. I haven't been told anything! I would think that if there was any truth to it, it would have been in the newspaper by now.

Another thing! The track was there when all the houses started going up, they shouldn't have a right to complain. If you didn't like racing OR noise at night why buy a piece of property next to a race track?

My point exactly RedClay! But that is what i have been told. I dont think there is truth to it at all. Because as you said RedClay, I do believe it would have been in the papers by now. There season is slated to open April 22nd with the car show and practice and I think I heard something about quailfy for the next weeks race.

We have been abiding by a noise ordinance for the last 10 years. There is no truth to the rumor that we are not opening. We started the karts this past Friday night and the cars start with an open practice on April 15th.

Cool, can't wait for the season to start. They need to stay open ... I need to sell a lot of photos to pay for that piece of paper I got from that nice man with the gray hat in Davidson County. Plus my camera is dying. Serious, I hope we have a good year down at CLR this year.

Seems like every year someone wants to start up the rumor of County Line closing. First off, the people that build or move their houses around the track should just keep their mouths shut. The race track was there before you, so pipe down your whining. James and the crew tend to run the show in a timely fashion so everything is done before the 11:00pm curfew(if memory serves me correctly). James and the crew should be commended on the way they run their shows. Secondly, you will hear this rumor started by drivers at other tracks. They have and always will do this. It never fails, every year it's the same thing. If you don't want to run CLR, don't run there. But don't lie and tell everyone they are closing down, just because you are a poor sport. Best of luck to CLR and their drivers this season.

Thanks for clearing the rumors up for us James. As I said yesterday, The rumor of County Line closing was going around the Clarys car show. I didnt think there was any truth to it at all, but as always, I just had to ask someone and make sure for myself. I do appreciate all the info from James and everyone else. There will also be a 40- lap late model race on the 22nd of April.
