HAMPTON, Va. (Oct. 18) -- A weekend of foul weather at Langley Speedway has claimed the Virginia State UCAR Championship/Super Street Showdown. Originally slated for Saturday, Oct. 17, the event was pushed back to Sunday evening. Conditions were no better on Sunday, however, prompting the cancellation.
The next event on the Speedway's schedule is the 4th Annual Night of Destruction presented by 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 24. Gates open at 11 a.m. and the competition starts at 1 p.m.

A longtime member of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, Langley Speedway is a .395-mile, slightly-banked oval. The track is located at 11 Dale Lemonds Dr., off North Armistead Ave., in Hampton, Va.
