FAYETTEVILLE, NC – With $25,000 on the line the National Dirt Racing Association (NDRA) competitors are geared up for the inaugural running of the NDRA Finals. The opening round is this Saturday night October 10th at Friendship Speedway in Elkin, NC and will pay the winning driver $2,500. Round 2 will be Saturday night November 14 at Lancaster Speedway.
The ‘Finals’ are open for any driver to compete but only NDRA members that finished in the top five in points at their weekly track or any driver that had perfect attendance on the NDRA Touring Series are eligible for the $25,000 point fund that pays the winner $10,000.
“We wanted to reward the guys that supported their home track,” said NDRA’s Larry Lee. “We have over 30 racers that are eligible for the $25,000 point fund so the ‘Finals’ should be exciting.”
All drivers will start from scratch as the points will be reset to 0 for all competitors entering the event Saturday night. The point system will be the same for the ‘Finals’ as it has been for the regular season. For the point system please visit www.ndraracing.com (http://www.ndraracing.com/)
Also on the card for October 10th will be the Limited Sportsman, Four Cylinder, Renegade and U-Cars. The pit gate opens at 4:00 with grandstand gates opening at 5:00. The drivers meeting will be at 6:30 pm.
