Joe Warren locked up his second consecutive point title and his third overall in winning the Crate late Model feature on Saturday night. Warren didn�t have an easy time of it as rookie, Amanda Whaley led all but the final five laps.
Whaley jumped out to the lead with Clint Chalabala chasing in second. Ryan Walls got by Jack Mullins for second but the two tangled bringing out the yellow on lap two.
The race would go green the rest of the distance with Whaley setting the pace. Warren took second from Chalabala on lap four then held off Matt Hill for the next two laps Hill got back by Warren just past the halfway sign and went to work on Whaley.
The front pair split a lapped car on lap nine but Warren timed things perfectly and got by both Whaley and Hill to take the lead. Once out front he was never challenged as he drove to the win in the Big Fish Grill/King�s Crop Insurance/Lazer. Hill finished in second with Whaley third. Fourth went to Chalabala and Chris Hitchens rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Hill.
