Any idea of how many of the rtm plan on making the trip to Hickory next week? That is a awesome little track with a lot of history, hopefully good car count for the rtm!

I just read on another site that the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour could be canceling the remainder of their season and there will be an official announcement Friday morning. If their race at Hickory next weekend gets canceled I hope that the ISCARS and RTM races will still be able to run. I've been looking forward to attending this race all year!

Wow.....that sucks.....they were supposed to be part of the North South Shootout.....maybe someone with the Pass Series will pick up the Super Late Models for that huge weekend at Concord.

Hickory will still go with ISCARS and RTM along with vintage cars. ASA SAT was going to run with them for make up race. I have heard the tv deal is holding a lot of money over them and they just cant get out of it. Tough year for several racing series.

That's great to hear! Unfortunately it doesn't look like I am going to make it down for the OCS races in October, which is why I'm hoping that everything is a go for Hickory. OCS is a great track though! I've been there the last three years for PASS South races, and I've been there once for ISCARS and once back when it was the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series.

Saw where ASA SAT officially pulled the plug on their series by way of their website. Two ASA series in the last few weeks that have called it early.

Yeah, I saw that too. The good news is that all of ASA's remaining series and tracks seem to be doing ok. In response to RACEFACE, it doesn't appear that late models will be involved with the North South Shootout. They added TBARA Sprint Cars to the schedule of events. You would think that PASS and Concord could work something out for the event one of these years, considering that PASS has a North and a South division. It would fit in with the theme of the event very well.

Saw where the North South Shootout will have super late models, run by the CRA guys. Think I read 5000 to win and 800 to start, if so could be a big race.

I stand corrected. Should be a big event at Concord that weekend!
