So the rtm tour canceled 3 races in August, you have to wonder the state of the tour with the economy. So next scheduled race is Langley.

OCS was cancelled due to ASA and ISCARS unable to get their teams in line for the makeup date, as well as a bunch of issues with that rescheduled race date falling on the same weekend as the Sharpie 500. Our tour was ready to go on this but when the featured tours pull out, there's nothing we can do.
East Carolina was cancelled due to the track not being able to provide a purse amount that would have attracted a decent field to compete...which was the case earlier this year when we had only 8 cars at the first ECMS race. So we mutually agreed to cancel that event.
Newport was cancelled because we could not enough committed teams on board to travel from Richmond to almost Knoxville for an event, when we announced we canceled that race, it was more of a sigh of relief from the teams. It would have been a 6.5 hour drive one way for most teams. There was also a consensus of our teams to drop the date in favor of running the rescheduled OCS date, which we followed through with, but then early in the week leading up to the event, that event was cancelled as noted earlier.
We are up at Langley on the 19th, it should be a good event, if everyone who says they'll be there will be there it should be a 19-20 car field, and there is about a $4000 purse for the event.
We don't like to cancel races if we don't have to but we also want to put on a good show for our hosting venues and our fans. Financially we are no worse for wear than other tours out there, probably faring a lot better, we pay our drivers, nobody's bounced a check yet, which can't be said for some series out there.
The break is probably a blessing in disguise as well, after SoBo there were a lot of torn up race cars, the three-week break allowed for many of them to repair their equipment.
We hope to finish up the season strong, we don't like doing the back to back, or the back-to-back-to-back calendars, but we are at the mercy of the track promoters when it comes to scheduling. At least two of the three races in October are relatively close to the core area of drivers.
