As we push on in the 2009 Walls Roofing UCAR Clash for Cash season our car counts are really good. We had 14 cars to start at Fayetteville Motor Speedway on August 15th. What a show the UCAR Clash drivers put on for the fans with the lead changes made by Keith Brame Jr. NC and Ben Walker NC and man the race from there back had the crowd on their feet until the end of the main event.This is the 5th time in 7 races this year that 3/4 of the field finished on the lead lap. That's good racing for the fans.

I would like to thank Larry Norris and the staff at FMS for making last night a success for the UCAR Clash. Last night if you did not go to FMS you missed seeing all the old timers that raised the dust around the Bullrings of NC of yesteryear. Such greats as Glenn Simpkins the Blues brothers from Fayetteville area and the great David Boggs. To stand in the same room with those man had to be the best part of last night for me. As a kid my dad would take me to WCS, Wilson, NC State Fair grounds man I think I sat in every grand stand out there in the 60's-70's. So to me it was an honor to see and talk to the man that help shape my life in racing today.
The Walls Roofing UCAR Clash's next race will be September 6 at VIR then on to Dillon Motor Speedway on September 26. We will close out our points season at Wake County Speedway on October 31- Walls Roofing UCAR Clash for Cash North/South Spooktacular Championship presented by OLE Time Barbecue 401 South Raleigh, NC and Ultra Power Sports of Garner, NC. We have 2 non points races for November 7th at County Line Raceway and 1 at South National Raceway Park on November 27-28 with the Pass South Super Late Models in the Thanksgiving Classic.
