Anybody heard what the car count looks like like when the rtm return to orange county on the 22nd?

Haven't heard about a car count, but I just read that ASA Southeast has canceled their race at OCS next weekend. Hopefully it's just them and not RTM and ISCARS as well. All three series can't seem to catch a break when it comes to weather and other circumstances in 2009. Hopefully they'll all be there and the weather will be nice when I go to Hickory in September...I'm getting a little worried. :smashfreakB:

ISCARS just posted on their site that the race is postponed, so I'm assuming the RTM race will be too. Oh well.

I'm curious how we will get our refunds for the tickets that were purchased.....on the ASA Southeast Asphalt series site they mention about the crews pit passes but don't say one word about all of us fans who stood in the rain to get rain checks......I have a bad feeling the way things look the they are going to screw over the folks at OCS who leased the track to the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour.

ASA backed out of the rescheduled event due to a lot of conflicts with the Bristol race. ISCARS couldn't go it alone and decided that the ocs race will again be rescheduled. Since they and ASA were the ones leasing out the track, RTM is at their mercy to what they want to do. Hopefully they can reschedule the event, as many of our teams want to race there if at all possible.

seen iscars rescheduled for October 31st, RTM runs that day at ACE so guess no orange county on the schedule this year.

Guess someone needs to start a list and take Mickey Cain to court for fraud since he was the one who leased OCS,took our hard earned money and ran.......I'm glad the end is near for that series......those drivers and us fans deserve better.......I also think all of the fans who have payed to see these series race should email each of the series sponsors and let them know how they represent them by having us fans pay for an event ticket and not getting to see them race.......these sponsors need to know how each series is representing by ripping fans off. At least Randy Claypoole and everyone with ISCARS are trying to do the right thing.

I'm not sure what is up with the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour. Even last year, I was planning to go to the road course event at Carolina Motorsports Park. Then it was canceled and rescheduled to Rockingham. Then that was canceled. I still haven't been to one of their races to date. I'm going to Hickory in September to see them with the Rolling Thunder Modifieds and ISCARS and I'm beginning to wonder if they'll even be there. I was originally planning to travel to OCS back in July when something else came up and I missed the rained out show, but Randy and the ISCARS series are a class act and I'm sure they will try their best to put on a good show for you guys in October.

RTM may still have a chance to race at OCS on October 31st. Ace might not be open by that time.
Their biggest Fall race, the Brian Pack Memorial for ASA-SMT has been cancelled because the ASA-SMT has shut down early again this year (sound familiar? ASA-SAT, ASA-SMT?).
I belive one of ASA-SAT's sponsors, Hedman Headers has already demanded their sponsorship money back.

Rolling Thunder rescheduled their race October 24th at ace so maybe they will run now at orange county on october 31st. Just wonder if they will survive coastal plains, ace and oc 3 weeks in a row?

We'll let everyone know if we will race at OCS on Halloween or not hopefully this week. ISCARS had originally given us a standing invitation if something happened with the Ace date.
