Steel Block Bandits Press Release – June 24th 3:50pm

The Cline Construction Steel Block Bandits have set the make-up race at Eastside Speedway for October 17th. This $2000 to win event will most likely be the final race of the 2009 season. The Bandit staff has worked extra hard to get more races, however with a weak economy most tracks are holding off until 2010. “I truly believe this will be a great racing series and it will continue to grow” said series promoter Danny Wilson. “I am confident that other tracks in our area will jump on board next year and I also see more race teams following us in 2010. We will also continue working with other tracks to set more dates in 2009.”

The Eastside Speedway event will be $2000 to win, 40 laps with other bonus money offered. For more information about this event please check out our web site at www.steelblockbandits.com (http://www.steelblockbandits.com/).

Special Thanks to the following:

Cline Construction, Ernie D’s Enterprises, Driveway Wizard, Muddslinger Web Services, Dehaven Well Drilling, Hot Custom Signs, Revolution Band, Affordable DJ Services, Hoosier Mid-Atlantic, American Racer, Anderson Racing and all our race teams & fans.

As of now there is no race scheduled at CLR for that day. If it remains that way I'll probably try to get up there for that race. Its been a couple of years since I've been up to Eastside and I've also been wanting to take in a Bandits race. Erica - you are in charge of reminding me ... :shake:
