The Rolling Thunder Modifieds presented by Red Man will be back in action this weekend as they head to the wild little tri-oval at East Carolina Motor Speedway.

This is one of the drivers' favorite tracks that we run at so the action and racing should be some of the best of the season.

See you in Robersonville!

what is car count looking like at East Carolina? Should be a good count this weekend as that is one of the drivers favorite tracks on the circuit.

Looks to be probably about a dozen cars perhaps...hoping for 16...there are always a few stragglers. We had 12 last year and put on the best race I have seen in three years I've been a part of the series.

There were at least 17 in both the races at ECMS last year...

6/ 28: ROBERSONVILLE, NC -- The field may have been small but they made up for it in action as the Rolling Thunder Modifieds put on one of the best shows in recent memory Saturday night for the fans at East Carolina Motor Speedway. Eldon Zacek, a relative newcomer to the tour battled to the wire with Joe Scarbrough and AJ Winstead to capture his first RTM Victory.

Zacek made the winning pass in the closing laps when then leader Joe Scarbrough got high going into turn 1 allowing the #53 car to make an inside pass for the lead. The two were racing side-by-side for a good portion of the last 10 laps.

It was an exiting race for sure. Next stop on the RTM Schedule is a stop at another driver-favorite track Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC.

Official Results:

1. #53 Eldon Zacek
2. #21 Joe Scarbrough
3. #99 AJ Winstead
4. #12 Robert Conner
5. #12y Jimmy Humblet
6. #14 Ronnie Davis
7. #2x Larry Penny
8. #1 Edward Ditges
