would it mount up to a pair of 4ft chrome stacks that are 3ft apart from each other?Im thinking it would look cool as hell on one of speedway bbq's cookers mounted over the stacks...if so,when,where and how much....lol

If I'm feeling good I think I'll be coming down. I know I'm not a driver, but at least there will be photos on the internet to look at. They may not all get posted for a week, but they'll be up for all to see. When's the last time anyone's seen pics from Dixieland up online?

PS: Anyone know of a cheap place to stay in the area and/or on the way to CLR? Thanks?

Amen to that! From what iv seen, that track has a great field of cars, good hard racing, and good fans. They have been there for 20 plus years. They are doing something right!

Dixieland only has 11 or 12 regular drivers in that class and half of them usually take the night off for the run whatcha brung event cause they know what kind of competition is going to be there. I wouldn't expect more than 11 or 12 on the 24th. How many did they have last friday night before it rained?

I am the crewchief for the #2 car that runs there weekly. The only rules that I'm aware of are no side boards, nitrous, or blowers and you must weigh 2300#s after the race.
Yes, their were only 9 cars I believe, so hopefully you guys have some friends that are looking for a place to run on the 24th.
There was only one superlate last year, he won fairly easy and I bet if you asked him it was probably the easiest 2 grand he's ever made.

Well hopefully the weather report kept many of the cars away. Its a real shame this race doesn't attract more cars. $2500 is not that bad of a payout!! Where are all of the supers that ran Clary's last year? This track is a real jewel and has great fan support, it a shame to see such small fields there...
