A quick but strong storm hit, temporarily knocking out power. This did not stop track officials. They began to run in the track for the Three State Flyers sanctioned Late Model feature that was up next on the card. Following a 2 hour delay the Late Models began to take to the track for a hot lap session. Just as the second group headed out the rains fell again and the track would have to postpone the event to July 18th.
Heats for the 34 Late Models for the Three State Flyers series event went to Andy Anderson, Jim Yoder, Frankie Plessinger, and Booper Bare. The Dash went to Andy Anderson, with the B-Main going to Alan Sagi.
