Bandits Promoter Revisits the Delaware Restart
Shortly after the Natural Bridge Speedway race on May 24th the series promoter talked with several drivers about the Delaware Restarts. “I want to do what is right for the drivers and this series. The Delaware restarts caused several cautions and prolonged the race”, series promoter Danny Wilson stated. Wilson also said, “We do not want to change any rules during the season but this will benefit the race teams. We will no longer use the Delaware restarts. Single file restarts for the heats, B-Mains and A-Mains for the remainder of the 2009 racing season.”
Wilson also stated that other then the restarts he was very happy with the overall first Bandits race of the 2009 season. “The drivers put on a great show and I want to thank the race teams, the fans, Natural Bridge Speedway and our sponsors for supporting the Cline Construction Steel Block Bandits”.
