Memorial Day Weekend
As the Cline Construction Steel Block Bandits season opener at Natural Bridge Speedway on May 24th gets closer, series promoter Danny Wilson is looking for a great car count. Danny said, “I feel that with having a two day event at Natural Bridge Speedway on May 24th and Eastside Speedway on May 25th this will pull in more cars.” The May 24th event is $2500 to win at Natural Bridge Speedway and then on May 25th at Eastside Speedway it is $2000 to win. Dehaven Well Drilling has put up a $500 bonus if a driver can win both events on May 24th and 25th .
Wilson also stated “Limited Late Model racing has always needed a racing series to travel within the Mid Atlantic Region. With this being the first year of the Cline Construction Steel Block Bandits I truly believe this will be very successful and give the limited late model race teams an opportunity to race at other tracks for more money.” Wilson went on to say, “This series will help the race teams get better by traveling to other tracks and racing against other competition.”
Drivers that are expected to be in attendance are Doug Hardy, Derick Quade, CS Fitzgerald, Greg Roberson, Jared Almarode, Lewis Hudson, Joe Leavell, Bo Feathers, Gerald Davis, Ricky Knight, JR Overstreet, Bobby Thompson, Gerald Wolfe, Jr., Michael Ayers, Tim Stalnaker, Petie Coffey, Kris Eaton, Spencer Liggon, Kris Looney, Jared Powell, Trevor Feathers, Roy Clower, Brian Buckler, Kevin Feathers, Jimmy Richards, Mitch Miller, Bubby Tharp Jr and many others from tracks such as Natural Bridge Speedway, Eastside Speedway, Potomac Speedway, Virginia Motor Speedway & Winchester Speedway to just name a few.
