The ghost of the Newberry Speedway is still very evident in aerial images. Newberry probably holds the unflattering record for lowest ever attended NASCAR Grand National events with a 1958 event that attracted 900 fans!

Been there many many times. My Dad owned a car and they raced it there. Ever heard of Ronnie Brookshire #14 that was the car!!:Jason:

I have heard of Ronnie. As a matter of fact, my dad used to help him work on his cars.

I was a little young then but my dad ran there some in the 60's. He only won 2 races up there but said it was one of his favorites to run at. Does anybody remember seeing one of his cars run up there? Here is a link to a few photos, just scroll down.
