The brand new FASTRAK "ULTIMATE" late model will be debuted at Modoc Speedway March 6th-7th. The debut will take place with a GM crate engine instead of the proposed 800HP spec engine for the car.

"I can't wait to see this thing go around Modoc Speedway" said Bryan Stewart. "Its a great looking car. Has some similarities of the current car but also some nostalgia of the old wedge type cars. I am glad to see it take place at Modoc Speedway. This should be a real treat for the fans. There is a lot of hype around this car and the fans at Modoc Speedway will be the first ones to see it".

"The first thing I want people to know is this car WILL NOT RACE with the other crate cars" stated Stan Lester of FASTRAK. "This is simply a test of aerodynamics one body style versus the other. We just wanted to test it with the crate engine versus the times the other cars were doing during time trials. This will give us a true measure of how and if the car is as superior aerodynamically as we think it is. A lot of people have put time and effort into this car and now its time to see what it will do".

I think this is no more then a gimmick deal to get the curiosity up for the race world.
Number 1 they say it's for areo(?) effect, well shoot we race on tracks of a 1/2 or less, we are more concerned about the brakes then a body style. That small wing up front MIGHT help but I doubt it in the long run. With no sail panels or a over the hill rear spoiler, I feel all there doing is shooting blanks. JMO

The car is going to be able to run with SLM's, the regular Crate cars will still be the same.

Lets put the "push bars" on the front like the "old wedge cars" used to have. Protect the bumper and give you something to bump with too!!

The car will not be allowed to run with regular slm's because of body rules. Plus, why would you buy a 415 thats bolt together for 18,5 when you could by a good used 430 that has had all the hand work done to it for 15 to 18 and even less if you can be right place right time.
