Franklin Co. Speedway, Bunn, NC

Not sure about this one, but images on "Race Track Drive", Bunn, NC reveal the unmistakeable image of a ghost track. The current photo barely shows a trace of the old track, but it's clearly revealed in the B/W 1993 Terraserver image. Anybody know the details on this old track?

I found this. It is from a zone meeting in 1990. It was listed as "race track road".

Chairman Wynne recognized County Planner Richard Reid who discussed the following amendment:


2) Request by Albert Height & Carolyn Ray for a special use permit for open air games and sporting events (raceways/truck pulls) on 49.84 acres on the northeast side of SR1711, west of Bunn.

Franklin County! Another place I spent a bunch of Saturday nights at when I was young.

That's the same place, "SR1711" current name is "Gus McGhee Road" but it's one and the same, and a side street off of SR1711 is "Race Track Road"
