to join NDRA you must pay $100, but to be in the running for the $25,000 point fund for the last 2 races you must finish in the top three in the points at one of the sanctioned tracks or win the points in the "touring" events, my question is---if you are planning on running different tracks (311 and friendship, both on sat. night) why would you waste the $100, when you know you are not going to run for points?

quote from NDRA----------

At the end of the season we will have a two (2) race playoff. Any driver is welcome to compete in the events but only drivers who finished in the top three (3) in points at their weekly track and the series champion will be in contention for the $25,000 NDRA championship points fund.

this is jmo and I wanted to know if others had thought of this or if NDRA might make a change to include drivers that run a several events at their tracks in the $25,000 two race playoff!!!

thanks

Tony, the only reason i can think of is. Were it says anyone can come race the two championship races, you have to be an NDRA member to do so.

Hey Tony,
You bring up a good point and I cannot give you an answer but I will pass this along to Clint and have him to clear this up.
Thanks,
Gene

The way I read it... to have a shot at the big prize at the end of the year you HAVE to finish in the top 3 at your track or win the tour. To me the trick is going to be the tracks getting the required 15 races in to crown a champ.

done talked with larry lee and they didnt thank about. about two weeks ago he said they would talk about it and would prob. be revising that rule. if they follow that rule they want have many cars at the big races. if u add the tracks and times them times 3 it want be a big car count.
