I'm new to racing and need help with the front right tire.I race on a 3/8 asphalt oval high bank track and I'm having a hard time keeping the tire together. The car is a 84 metric, and is pushing hard through the turn and eating the tire up.

What type of tire, Banking in track, weight of car, type of suspension, stock, racing springs,
camber rules. Need to know these type things so can get a idea of what you need.

The tires are 14" stock street tires,I was thinking of changing to 15" cause a tire guy said that the sidewalls are alittle stiffer. The banking of the track is 18 degrees, this is a pure stock class so everything is bone stock. There is supposed to be no camber changes but I have seen some cars with slight camber in them.Weight of the car should be around 3400,its a 84 Grand Prix with the interior striped out and a roll cage installed.Any changes I make would prob have to be with stock parts,no racing specific parts.
I have raced with other cars that are the same make and they have very little tire wear and go through the turns alot better so it leaves me to believe that there must be some changes to there setup.

Yes i would try to find a 15'' tire that you can run the Goodyear GT+4 works good at about
1/4 tread left to much tread causes a squrim feeling in the turns when the tires get hot.
I would make sure all the stock steering compnents are not worn out and you dont have a toe issue this will over heat the tires also try to get as much camber as you can and some caster
also.See if you can scale the car out ant get as much nose weight off as possible as much
left and some cross. If you cant get much stagger in your tires and your diff is locked or welded you my want to try it open .Try to get car as low as the rules will allow try a wagon
springs on RF and RR AND LR factory spring on Lf . Use a larger sway bar off like a SS Monte
like 1 1/4 keep it neutral to start with and stock replacement racing shocks tiedown on left
side works well Hope some of this helps if you have any more questions send me a pm..
