Hilltop Speedway,Now

Not Carolina but an old race track is an old race track no matter what part of the country. Hilltop Speedway Marietta ,Ohio. The pits are now a junkyard.......one time the stands were full of cheering fans ........now just Ghosts do the cheering.......

I've been through Marietta many times, on hwy33 I believe. I will have to do a pilgrimage the next time I head up that way and stop to see the old tracks on the way.

Hill Top goes back a long way, and its owner has always been in the junkyard business. Sadly, the junk business prooved more lucrative than the race track.

I grew up about 40 minutes from there... they actually reopended that track i think backin 2006 maybe 2005. site for the track is http://www.hilltopspeedway.org/
