STANLEY, NC (January 19, 2009) – Today, Ray Evernham and Bob Mack announced that Clint Elkins has been appointed Promoter and Facility Director for the East Lincoln Speedway, a 3/8 mile dirt track they recently purchased in Lincoln County, NC.
Elkins, a Lincoln County native, has a long history in both dirt track racing and promotion. He has driven in a variety of divisions and series over the years, including late models and super late models. Since 2006, his career has moved into track and series promotion. “I am pleased to be adding Clint to our team” said Evernham. “His racing and promotions experience, along with his knowledge of the Lincoln County community, will really help us achieve our goal of making the East Lincoln Speedway a fun and safe place to enjoy dirt track racing.”
“This is a very exciting opportunity for me” said Elkins. “I think Ray and Bob have a great plan for East Lincoln and as track owners, they really bring a lot to the table in terms of industry contacts and experience”. “We can definitely make this track into a first class local racing facility and it will be something that the fans and drivers can really have fun with.”
In addition to Elkins, the East Lincoln team has expanded to include Keith Frye as Technical Director and George Anen as Maintenance Manager.
