Carnesville, GA (Jan-16) One of the main topics of conversation at the FASTRAK National Points Banquet will be that of the "structure of the Championship point funds". "I hope our teams come to discuss this topic", said Stan Lester of FASTRAK. "We welcome the teams to come and discuss their ideas. That’s one reason we all get together at this banquet for a rules meeting. What the teams say is important. To make it work for us, we have to make it work for them. Is there a better way to do things? I don't know but you can bet we will be all ears when it comes to suggestions".
"This is the absolute perfect opportunity for everyone to express their ideas", said Don Lester Marketing Director of the Series. "Regional Directors on Thursday, Weekly Tracks on Friday and race teams on Saturday. One thing everyone needs to remember, we can go to every region in the country to hear their thoughts, but this is one "neutral" place everyone can meet".
"I have heard Stan say it again and again" stated Michael Hurley National PR Director. 'It doesn't matter to me how they want to do it. It's their money. All I do is write the checks'. "You can see from that statement Stan really isn't concerned about HOW it’s done, but rather that IT IS done the way everyone together prefers it".
"It’s their money" said Lester. "This is not a 'it’s my way or the highway company'. It never has been. The teams are responsible for our success as are the tracks. It’s their thoughts that built the current system we have in place today. Same deal with the rules. They built them, we just implement them. If someone has a better idea of how to structure things then why wouldn't we take a look at it"?
