Potomac has a new web master and new promoter this year and it really shows. the schedule reflects some of the changes already made. http://www.potomacspeedway.com/

NEW RULE THIS FOR 2009
Transponder Scoring System New in 2009

Potomac Speedway Promoter, Greg Gunter has has been hard at work updating the Potomac Speedway Facility for the 2009 racing season. Among his many improvements to take place will be The Transponder Scoring System new in 09.The Transponders will be mandatory for The Super Late Models, Late Models, and Street Stocks, all remaining classes will be added hopefully by mid season.

Transponders will cost $250.00 which includes the Transponder, Charger and Pouch.This system is compatible with Winchester and Hagerstown Speedway's. They can be purchased by a rent to own option or rented on a weekly basis. Transponders will be available soon, Interested drivers may contact the speedway office at 301-884-4200 to place your order, and these make excellent Christmas Gifts for that racer that has everything.

This new web site is infinitely better than the old one. Do you know if they're still gonna run Friday shows?

The new website is a definite improvement for sure. Nice little track too, and I look forward to getting there a couple of times this year :click: ... hopefully starting with the season opener on Mar 20.

Site looks way better. Lookin forward to many trips to Potomac this year. Hopefully beginning with March 20!

we will be running there in crates on april 17th. Have to hit up georgetown and delmar before we go ! lol
