Jim,does Jack still live over behind the Fayetteville Airport? Had'nt been over there in a good while and was just wondering. Years ago,he lived in Massey Hill and kept his race car (1964 chevolet #47) at his house. But when he drove for Monk Hair (55 Ford #47),the race shop was on hwy 87 and it's still there today!! That was my hang out back then....!! Sure do bring back some good ole times back then...!!!!:1219:

Kenny, he still lives over by the airport. Nice place too, someone once asked Jack how he was able to afford such a nice place and Jack replied "I've worked my ASS off!" Pretty much sums that up. Called him last night for someone asking about a driver that once lived in Fayetteville named Ralph Liguori that drove sportsman back in the 50's and early 60's. Jack new him, as a matter of fact that old 36 Ford photo on the other post is Jack's Rookie car. Liguori drove for Al Wheatly who ran a Mercury dealership in Fayetteville and the engine builder was Gene Blackburn, brother of Grand National driver Bunkie Blackburn of Fayetteville. We need to take a ride over to the 87 shop, would like to see that.

...And that, young grasshoppers, is why you never forget your roots and listen to the stories of your elders becaue if you think your the first to try something, chances are is been tried a hundred times before and somebody knows the trick to making it all work....doesn't matter what I'm talking about, all you have to do is listen.
