The FASTRAK 4 cylinder National Weekly Championship takes off in a blaze as Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville TN becomes the first ever track in history to participate in the brand new concept.

As many as 14 other tracks have already expressed serious interest in having their 4 cylinders FASTRAK weekly sanctioned which allows their teams to participate in the $3000 to win NATIONAL WEEKLY CHAMPIONSHIP, thats pays the top 25 teams in the nation. Keeping in mind FASTRAK just began marketing the 4 cylinder program. Track's use their own track rules as this class is not normally know as one that travels from track to track. This allows any 4 cylinder to compete, without having to change one item on their current car.

The concept of this 'style' of NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP began in 2008 with the FASTRAK crate late models. The championship was title sponsored by City Chevrolet of Charlotte NC. The format worked tremendoulsy well, as 18 year old Max Blair of PA won the weekly championship by a mere 2 points over WI native Craig Bartz. The weekly championship proved to be more than competitive as there were only 45 points seperating the top 30 in the entire country.

Based on 25 tracks with 15 members each the FASTRAK 4 cylinder NATIONAL WEEKLY CHAMPIONSHIP will pay $3000 to win and through the top 25 positions in the country. Considering the tremendous amount of interest in the 4 cylinders, that should be a very reachable goal.
