LATE NOTICE--BONUS MONEY FOR HARD CHARGERS, STUHLER, JAMES, DARRAH, AND SHEPPARD FROM 21ST CENTURY FIREPLACE SERVICES
HAGERSTOWN, MD –Mike Crittenden and 21st Century Fireplace Services sponsored the Hard Charger award for the 2008 Octoberfest 350 as was done in the past few years. A key person at the speedway fell ill after the original Octoberfest date and was unable to keep the personnel informed of this AWARD for the 2008 Octoberfest. Speedway management apologizes for the oversight and is correcting the error.
The 21st CENTURY FIREPLACE SERVICES HARD CHARGER AWARD is a $250 BONUS to Hard Chargers in each division of the Octoberfest 350. This years recipients go to Late Model driver, Gary Stuhler, who gained 13 positions, Big Block Modified driver, Chad James with 13 positions, Sprint driver, Cody Darrah with 11 positions, and Small Block Modified Driver, Matt Sheppard with 19 positions. Congratulations Hard Chargers!
“We are pleased to have Mike Crittenden and 21st Century Fireplace Service rejoin Hagerstown Speedway as a major sponsor of the Hard Charger program,” Plessinger said. “The Octoberfest drivers enjoy running for the extra money. Winning this award comes down to a real challenge on the day time surface for the recipient. It’s a shame the Bonus Award was not announced to the drivers at the Octoberfest .”
As an avid race fan who watches the races intently, Crittenden has wanted to support the racers in a way to make them not give up till the end. Every car counts.
Crittenden’s Octoberfest Hard Chargers gives drivers in each of the four events for big and small block modifieds, late models and sprints a chance to receive an additional $250.
“We appreciate Mike’s awards for the hard chargers,” Plessinger said. “That gives those drivers something to work for.”
