A good friend recently became the proud owner (at an unbelievable deal, some guys have all the luck LOL) of '34 chevy coupe supermodified. The car, from east Tennesee, differs somewhat from the traditional 'Carolina' modified, in that the body has been narrowed, and and center steering/driver location has been added. This car has been in storage all its life, and the original paint is totally acceptable. It probably dates from the late '50's to early '60's, features a huge 302 ci GMC straight six engine/5-carb manifold/mangeto ignition/and no transmission or flywheel. The car featured an 'in-out' transmission and was push started. The previous owner had started a 'modernization' and had partially dis-assembled everything, before loosing interest. Fortunately, he kept all the original parts, even the tow bar! The old girl, last driven by Bill Morton, will now be restored to its original state. I don't have any pictures, yet, but will try and post a few, soon.
