Potomac Speedway is gearing up for there Annual Vernon Harris Memorial on October 16 thru October 18, 2008.
The Budweiser Super Late Models will be running a 51 lap main event paying $5000.00 to win, $500.00 to start. Also on the schedule are the Coors Light Street Stocks running a 25 lap main event paying $400 to win, Sunoco Race Fuel Hobbystocks running a 20 lap main paying $300.00 to win ,the Strictly Stocks 20 laps paying $200.00 to win and The Hornets a 15 lap main also paying $200.00 to win.
On Thursday Night October 16, 2008 there will be an open practice session for all divsions from 6:30 to 9:30 with gates opening at 4pm.
On Friday Night October 17, 2008 the nights events will consist of warm-ups, time trials for the Super Lates, and qualifying heats for all divisions, and dash races to determine the starting line up for the Super Lates, Street Stocks and Hobbystocks.
On Saturday Night October 18, 2008 we will have warm-ups for all divsions, consilation races, and the main events which will consist of a 51 lap Super Late Model main, a 25 lap Street Stock main, a 20 lap Hobbystock and Strictly Stock main and a 15 lap Hornet main.
Gates will open Thursday Night at 4pm with practice from 6;30 to 9:30, Friday Night gates open at 3:30, with drivers meeting at 6:45, warm-ups at 7:00pm, and time trials starting at 7:30, on Saturday gates will open at 3pm, drivers meeting 5:30 and warm ups starting at 6pm, with consilation races at 6:30
Pit admission will be as follows a 3 day pass will be $75.00 which includes Thursday Friday & Saturday, Thursday only pit admission is $20.00, Two day pit admssion will be $57.00 which includes Friday & Saturday, Friday pit admission only is $25.00, Saturday pit admission only is $35.00
General admission for Thursday is free, Friday General admission is $15.00 for adults with children 6 to12 being $5.00, Saturday General admission for adults is $25.00 with childen 6 to 12 being $5.00
