What is up with F1?

I heard something about the USA Grand Prix. They said that only 5 or 6 cars started the USA Grand Prix. Has anyone else heard anything about it? I heard this on Speed Channel.

Michelin tyres were said to be unsafe so all the Michelin runners could not race. They suggested various things like shipping in a fresh load of tyres, having a chicane built on the fast corner and allowing tyre changes, but all of them were rejected by the FIA. This in the end left 6 cars to race.

man i would be mad to if i went to the race to watch it :furious3: . I would want my money for the tickets and gas money. I hope that Goodyear doesn't do anything like this at a Nascar race.
