I can confirm officially that Jaybird has the track back. I am his daughter-in-law so it is not a rumor anymore! Not sure of his plans, but please lay the rumor to rest.:partyb:

I dont believe that! Jaybird has the track I talked to him myself he told me he was waiting on some kind of papers and he was going racing. The way that Bobby left that place he cant afford to go back nor does he intend to!

heard today bobby does still own track and its kinda funny no web site has been updated and so forth which sucks if bobby still has it but i think we have been told a bunch of b/s the last couple of weeks about jaybird getting it back which i hoped was true sounds like we have been heart broke again.........until a owner speaks up i dont believe nothing u hear .........i was told bobby got n trouble for not having insurance on his employees and had to shut down but that could be rumor also who nows .........

I do not know who thinks jaybird is doing so much but I dont see that he done much to the track if he is the owner now. The track was a horrible mess holes all in it and rocks everywhere. We do not believe anything as of yet until the real owner speaks. So lets hope that whoever somebody will take this track and turn it into the best racing in the Triad. Would hate to see this track go to the bad but that is what it looks like its happening. Hope to see some racing next year but what we seen he has plenty of work to do to get it ready. All this talking about running the weekend of martinsville all I can say is somebody better get there finger out of there ass and get to working. Now I will leave it at that and wait for the next.....

Responding to your post,their will be no race this weekend and very doubtful for this season.
If you are basing what the track surface looks like and declaring the owner has his thumb up his azz then you really have no clue.
Without going into all the details here are a few of the more pressing issues he is dealing with at this time.
No power on track lights,no gas going to concessions,no city water and they all want pay to turn services back on because somebody bailed out and left this unpaid mess.
No watertruck,pack cars,waterpumps,a waterhole full of silt no scales operating,not to mention track radios and pa system and oh yea it took a week of mowing to even find the place.
Not trying to start anything just bringing you up to speed on where he is at.
No I am not the owner but he will be around later this week if you doubt what I am saying, that is after he takes care of his sister (Lindas) husbands funeral.

Just help by spreading the word that 311 will survive and hopefully stronger than ever in 2009.
J-Bird knows that a track without racers and fans can not survive.
The last 4 months is pretty much proof of that.

Not sure if I will be back full time or not.
I have told J-Bird that I will do whatever I can to bring the racing back to 311.
We both understand that you loyal fans and racers needs this track to turn around and provide something for people to look forward to again.
With some hard work and the right people I beleive it can return to being one of the best tracks on the East Coast.

Thanks for the comments and maybe we will see you in the spring.

I cant imagine what the place looked like if it hadnt been touched for four months - i bet it is a ton of work - wonder what the costs of getting something like that back off the ground is - also If Bobby was leasing the property and paying all the bills under his name why would it be the problem of another person who has nothing to do with Bobby to pay the un-paid costs of those bills - doesnt make much since to me. I do know however if i buy a house that a bum has lived in and didnt pay the bills i do not have to pay their part of what they owe to get the power turned back on. He said she said. Not necessarily....it depends on whether that corporation was a Sub Chapter S corporation or a C-Corp. If it is a S-Corp, all income, liabilities, debts, and tax is passed along to the individual or individuals that own that corporation. It provides minimal protection to the owner of the corporation in bankruptcy. A C-Corp on the other hand, is completely separate from its shareholders, and is fully responsible for its tax, debts, and income.

But, just for a bit of information, there has been two new corporations formed for the operation of 311 speedway, as of 9/24/08. :BustinAss:

Yeah ,it would be nice to know IF and WHAT we will be able to run in 2009.As stated above Santa won't know what to bring this year if we don't get at least some class and engine rules.Some of us don't have the money to go out and buy everything we need in one purchase,so it would be nice to be able to have an idea of what we will be allowed to run so we can start getting things together NOW
