This heah's Buckshot Cagle from the Rose Hill section of Georgetown county, with my big fat wife and 13 head of young'uns!

Look-a-heah, now..........sometimes it happens in the warm ups!! Ladies and gennemun, keep your eyes glued to that number one turn............that's where the fish is bitin'!

And don't forget to visit our concession stand at your every convenience............we got rolaids, aspirins, TUMS, cigars, cigarettes, candy......hot buttered pop corn......cold-icy-slushy-coca cola AND pepsi cola

And folks, don't forget Gunner's Liquors...........everything from a six pack to a pick-up Load! An tell 'um you heard Buckshot Cagle talkin' about it at the race track..........

All you good drivers, bad drivers...........even you screwdrivers, come down heah to the flagstand an meet with BIG DADDY!

Awww Bid Daddy got 'um lined up like an onion patch........he gonna bring 'um around 'til he sees the WHITES of their very eyes!

And THE classic Buckshot Cagle call............."we gut'um hub to hub, wheel to wheel and FIRE FLYIN'!

Archie, I a'int no Bill Gates, but if you're scanning your photos choose the "J PEG" type of file, it makes them a lot smaller, byte-wise.

If Sam ever ran ARCA, it wasn't much, and I don't remember it. But he was MR. LATE MODEL SPORTSMAN. AND he BUILT his own cars, even in his NASCAR/Thomas Bros. days. Built them, drove them, towed them to the track, and wore slap out the competition. If Sam Ard ever got his right front fender up along-side the left rear quarter-panel of a competitor, he hang on longer than a pit-bull, might as well let him go. He didn't know the meaning of backing off. Make no mistake, Sam Ard was as good and as tough as there ever has been, behind the wheel of a race car, or behind a welding helment building one.

Sam could have had an equally successful Winston Cup carreer, had he not been injured at Rockingham in the early '80's. At the time, there wasn't anybody in 'Cup any better than he was. And THERE SURE A'INT NOW, (either).

I have the same problem at times , so I have to send them to my www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) account to re-size them then send them back to my photo page to post photos on LRC !!!

I'll tell you one thing whenever Sam Ard showed up at Cumberland International Speedway ( Now FMS ) it was then whom was going to race for second , also tough at the track was Butch Lindley , Junior Johnson ( Florence SC ) , Jack Bland and Tommy Ellis , in earlier times Ray Hendrick was the man to beat Modified or Late Model Sportsman often winning both races in the same day along with Harry Gant & Eddie Royster .

Hi there Archie, Not even real sure, but is it Slick Johnson? Been a long time!! I do know Slick did run a few Nascar races. And at one time he drove a ford for a guy from Monroe NC named Ron Spone, and the number was 50 something. You got any information on that or can ya tell me more?

If you have a photo program on your PC open your photo in the program check the "edit" or "image" box and look for the "resize" option. I change mine to a width of around 400 pixels or around 43kb.
